Just to add, Would it be possible to have stat boosting potions give a similar effect as food?Please balance potions so that potions are more useful and Alchemist is more needed. Currently most if not all potions are useless. Potions meaning potions, elixers, ethers, attribute potions, etc. these potions lasting 15 seconds does not do much. Especially for MP/VIT potions. By the time the stat fills the new gap from the raised max the effect wears off and you go right back down.most potions are ignored by players.
Something similar to FFXI could make potions useful. For example, boosts that last several minutes but have a debuff to prevent constant use.
So, while food lasts an entire dungeon (or at least a good amount of it), booster-potions might only be used once per dungeon and even then it'd only last about 1 boss battle.

It's exciting to hear that Patch 3.0 is intended to introduce flight -- while it may be too early to ask, do you believe that this would be accompanied by a redesign of the world's environments to allow more seamless movement between areas, with fewer transitional spaces and loading times? Will the world feel larger when viewed from an airship?
when will 2.4 be released?
Have you considered content that is in the open world but instanced for a full raid group? Such as force spawning Ifrit and it creating a small battlefield that only the 8 party members can enter while others look on.
What other Final Fantasy dungeons would you like to replicate in ARR?
So with 2.0 being called FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, will the expansion keep "A Realm Reborn" in the title, or will it be FFXIV: (Name of Expansion)?
Have you considered a Savage difficulty of the Primals?
Will players without a lot of Gil still be able to enjoy the Gold Saucer?
Have you considered making Set Bonuses that interact with a players rotation, granting them a slight increase in effectiveness and also fundamentally changing the way they use a spell?
