Tbh this is the key factor many people are forgeting. I admit that I'm enjoying v1.18 so far, and I have high hopes and expectations for v1.19 and others they have down the line. SE have stated (as you have mentioned) that this is the first in many fixes, and should not be seen as a finished product.

Ok, so many people are complaining about many changes they believe have unbalanced the game somewhat. But looking at things in a long term perspective, I dont think this is the case. Archers were rather strong compared to other classes. I imagine many archers will frown at that remark, but please keep with me lol.

So Archers have been taken down a little. But taking into account that they are the only long ranged none-magic role, I can see how it is easy for this class to get out of hand. They have the range, AND the armour, health etc. I personally think the changes to Archers was justified.

Bringing on other classes, Cons seem to have been taken down a spot also. But this is a good thing. There is no point in playing a game if you have a pretty much invincible party, due to the Con having so much mp that he/she does not feel the need to stop hitting the "cure" spell. I think this is a good balance, as with the Archer having to think thing through a little.

Taking this into account and back to my opening statement about long term. This does promote the need for party roles. Let's keep in mind that this game is still young in the MMO world and it has alot of development on its way. By the time new expansions etc are out, there will be much greater need for strong, solid tactics. Atm the moment, we are learning such tactics by considering our skills and abilities in the game today. Even at solo'd play we must keep check now.

Instead of seeing this patch (and future patches) cursing our roles, why not take this oportunity now to take a learning curve at this and develop as the roles do. There will be future changes to these roles (and others). With that in mind, along with different aspects of the game, why not embrace these changes as a chance to fine-tune your styles of play

Anyway, I hope this has given people some thought. If I have missed anything, I'd love to hear a constructive addition to what I have placed
