@NozomiKei dude do you hear yourself? You had to stay up all night in order to get those seals and haven't slept in 3days? Do you even understand what you are saying here? You are the kind of attitude that ruins these hunts. Hard one thing, mindlessly obsessing over it is whole other ball game. First off this is the only mmo where I've seen raid level gear being practically gifted for participating in non raid level events. Second the fact that you had to spend night n day to even get 2000 seals shows how horrid this system is. This sounds like a crack addiction gone bad

XD I stayed up all night three times(I only started to do 3 days but whoa'd myself down) during the first week and a half because I was having such a good time! Honestly this is the first thing I've been "hardcore" about in this game. And as for the 2000 seals, I only got the first 1000 during the first 2 weeks and near the end of that was taking 2 day breaks from the game. Since then I've taken lots of breaks (didn't play at all last week) and when I was on grinded for seals to get my beloved loincloth and now just go after the ones people in my fc and ls announce. I've been incredibly casual about hunting after the first bit; 2000 isn't really that many seals... o_O'

As for my attitude ruining the hunts I'm afraid I don't understand? I always waited and helped out as much as possible. And my "hardcore" scouting for hours on end: Who do you think located the hunts for casuals to run to?

    hunt disaster

After the so called update to the hunt system I logged in hoping for a great improvement but after 2 hours have logged out for what will probably be the last time!
SE have decided that only serious players with all the time in the world can progress on the game and that saddens me. (a life long ff fan and player) My last hunt was for my weekly elite kill I found the mob I shouted the location and lots of people came I managed 4 hits (ilvl 100 blm) and get 1 seal I sold and 2 myth and nothing for the weekly kill! so that has left me with 2 choices, stay at ilvl 100 or become one of the many greedy players that I am now finding that are immune from the decency of shouting out the locations of mobs and just kill them for themselves.
do they not realise a lot of people that pay good money for there game only have limited play time. I have no problem spending that time running around looking for a mob but please at least let us have something to show for it after the kill!

The elite mob for the week (at least on Sarg) was a B rank and easily kill-able by 1 person. You can still get full reward for any rank no problem by jumping into a party, just shout for an invite as you're running or once you get there; most everyone is eager to add more people to their party because they know that's how you get the full reward. Just drop after the mark is dead or stay if you feel like hunting more. *shrugs* Not difficult. It's hardly surprising that this community based game added features that require people work together to take down a strong enemy and reward you based on how much you cooperated with others.

And this single feature is hardly the signifier of all endgame content to come; did you even bother to consider the other great things they added this patch or last? Don't like this one thing, don't participate in it. I haven't even touched Frontlines and I'm no worse for wear.

My suggestion is to tie each and every mark to the hunt board. You cannot attack a mark unless you have a bill for it. It would be a similar system to FFXII, and you'd only be allowed to have so many bills at any one time. And like it or not, seals need a weekly cap. People need to stop spending all day and night hunting. They need to be freed up so they can partake in other, more meaningful content.
