A simple QoL change for Healer UI: Fade names of characters out of range

Hey there. I enjoy healing in this game. The one time I don't really like it is when I'm in a big alliance and I'm frantically trying to pick targets, many of whom are out of range.

This problem becomes significantly worse in Frontlines now, where it's a complete mystery who is actually nearby to heal. Sometimes there is nobody, or the person you need to heal is *just* out of range.

Problem: There's currently no indicator who is in healing range, making healing big alliances nearly impossible without resorting to clicking character models.

Solution: Fade out the names and health bars of players who are more than 30y of your character (using Cure as a baseline).

Example of current healing UI (who's out of range? *shrug*):

Example of new healing UI (Hey! Get back here!):

I actually used this setup in other games for healing where you can customize the UI a little more. I feel its the easiest solution to see who you need to move closer to, and it would immediately let you know when you've moved too far from the rest of the alliance.

    Thanks!

Please, please add some type of out of range indicator. It would also help immensely with PvP for giving some type of idea of who I should be trying to heal. Fade out out of range members in both party frame and alliance frames please.

In Frontlines it's even worse as characters are spread across the map. I don't know about anyone else but I have a real hard time clicking on actual player characters in the field, especially when they are moving. I want to play frontlines, but without knowing who is in range it's impossible.

I wish the whole party list and alliance interface was way more customizable, but the biggest issue right now is the range.

considering this game is P2P... i also expected a far better HUD/UI then what we have. we are missing so many things that so many other P2P games launch with. what is SE doing? funding a space exploration mission with our money? lol :/

im not sure what you arent looking at, but i know on ps4, there is an indicator. if someone is out of range, but you can still target them, every spell that cant reach them is red/orange(dont actually know which). i always know if a targeted character is in range

Sure, but on large maps like Frontline or ST, you will often have people that are too far out of range to be loaded into your client, meaning you cannot target them in the first place. Plus, I'd like to be able to know if someone is in range or not before I actually attempt to target them for a heal. If someone is 150 yards away and I see their health dropping, if I know they're out of range (because the health bar is faded out or something) then I automatically know that I don't need to factor them into my target selection and heal priority.

The greying out of player frames in Rift for people out of range and out of line of sight is simple and awesome. I with SE introduced the option to FFXIV.
