You are right about being able to use that macro to have the fairy heal while I'm doing something else, but it doesn't queue if embrace hasn't finished cool down. In the heat of battle, it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference between queued up embrace and tank dropping below 70% so fairy did it on her own later. I tested it outside of battle and it did not queue, which was why I wrote in the wait and second cast into my macro.

Come to think of it, if I am correct about the queuing, adding a wait and a second cast to the physick + embrace macro (or anything+embrace macro) would be an improvement for those macros as well.

I would love if somebody else could test the embrace macro outside battle as well and post their results with the queuing.

I did share the embrace macro thing a while back.

You can usually get the fey to solo heal alot of the stuff if you rotate buffs rouse, the fey illu then weave in lustrates; this allows you to dps quite well.

I have two macros for fey healing, one is heal who is in my 2nd slot on party list which will be the MT. The other is my rez macro which marks the target for a bit while they are rezzing and gets the fey to focus embrace them for a few heals.

I used to have it macroed to physick but I found it really cumbersome when I would manually target someone in the party to get Eos/Selene to heal them while I <mo > healed the tanks, she would stop healing the person I manually targeted her on and go back to healing who I was targetting with Physicks. I manually use it (Embrace is keybound to the letter E on my keyboard and Physiks to 2 so it's not annoying to spam them)

I don't recommend maccroing them together in one step, causes more issues than anything imo.

The type of macro listed in the OP is on the right track, but you can make it better.

    /micon "Embrace" pet
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f> <wait.2>
    /pac "Embrace" <f>
    /echo <se.15> Reapply Embrace! <se.15>

    Replace <f> with <2>, <3>, <tt>, whatever you like.

The purpose of this macro is to let fairy do as much as possible for as little effort as possible, and avoid putting GCDs into macros (the common Phys/Adlo+Embrace). The way this works is that, pretend the odd-numbered Embraces are "A", evens are "B". B's will fail because the cast is still going and recast isn't up yet, so you only get the A's to work. However if she is delayed for whatever reason (movement, knockback, other non-macro command), the B lines take over. Whole point is for redundancy.

This also lasts almost 30 seconds so it functions as a soft "egg timer" for any 30/60 second cooldowns.

Before it it brought up: If you hit another macro, just hit this again. Obviously.

If that macro floats your boat, then go ahead. It's kinda missing the point of my macro. My macro is not lazy macro or a "put the faerie on cruise control" king of thing. I'll explain it one more time:

Embrace has a 2 second cast time.
Embrace has a 3 second cool down time.
This leaves 1 second in between when her cast bar finishes and when she can recast.
Attempting to cast in that 1 second window will give a "not ready yet" error.
Attempting to cast in that 1 second window will not queue. (I went back and re-tested the macro and the regular command to confirm, and I had also tested this prior to 2.3 with the same results).

My macro allows you to cast within that 1 second window without worrying about it not queuing. With this, I can watch the faerie's cast bar in the party list and queue up a recast as soon as she finishes.

Seravi, if that macro you posted is one you use and you want to incorporate what I am talking about, then you should do it with 1 second waits instead of 2. 2 second wait won't sync with a 3 second cool down.

I explained my reasoning behind 2 second waits. Using 1 second waits makes you have to hit the button again (more than) twice as often. It is not "cruise control". You don't get any more optimal than this for the amount of effort involved without mashing buttons.

Not saying you macro doesn't work, or that mine is better. I would instead advise YOU to put more wait 1s if you want your macro to do what you are saying you want it to do.

Sorry if I came off as being a little snide. I understand what you are saying now. I also tried it out and the 1 second waits don't work any better than 2 on your macro. You do, unfortunately, lose 1 second on each round (too bad a 3 second wait doesn't work right), but I see where the convenience comes into play.

I'm going to take your advice and add another wait and embrace to my macro so I can hit it before she finishes casting and have it queue up. I know I could add several more lines so it would do multiple casts and not just be a ghetto fix for queuing. I might go back and do that later if I see that I need it. Thanks for the advice.

    So my current macro is:
    /macroicon "Embrace" pet Eos
    /pac "Embrace"
    /wait
    /pac "Embrace"
    /wait
    /pac "Embrace"
