I don't even bother with the FATEs that spawn more rarely.
After doing enough atma hunting, you tend to have a feel for which ones you will be able to find relatively easily and which ones could potentially take hours.

When I get my daily hunting log, I check the FATE enemies first. When I know the FATE and know it spawns in a normal manner, I try to do it. When I do not really know the FATE or know it is a rare spawning one, I just trash the book. Animus told me one thing: to never ever wait again for a FATE. Waiting 2 hours and zerging it down in under a minute? Never again going to happen for me. I rather make extra and unneeded tax declarations.
Or, you could,In all honesty the whole hunt is seriously flawed. Elite marks may be the way to get marks faster, but at the same time they spawn randomly through the entire zone and have extremely low HP. When you have hundreds of people hunting the elite marks this means that the chance of more than a handful of the many even getting credit, let alone seeing it alive, far too low.
SE should have done the following:
Made multiple spawns at a given time of the same mark.
Increased the HP of the single mark allowing more to get credit.
Or done both.
Due to how you get credit (x% of damage dealt) this means getting to the mark is far more difficult than even killing or finding the mark.
learn to hunt.
I'd like the daily marks more if the total for doing them was like 20/day seals out of a 4k cap doesn't seem that bad. Doing B-S rank is pretty much impossible for a number of reasons everyone is aware of by now, for people that won't use add-ons or dislike Elite attitudes. Getting rid if the 2 fates in the marks would be nice to since i not really into waiting 6 hours for two fates. I picked 20 due to the amount of wolf seals you used to get for spending 10 minutes getting put to sleep, or was that 10 seals for getting put to sleep and 20 for winning? Only other thing bad about hunts and the new tower. Is all that hard work to build Atma/Novus is overshot by one lucky tower haul (tombstone) and the sand from hunt marks.
This is an interesting part of the Q&A from the actual Live Letter, maybe there is Hope.![]()
"Q4: Currently, the daily mark bills are difficult to complete due to the spawn rate of certain FATEs. Is there any way we can complete this in an easier fashion?
A4: While we won’t be able to make FATEs spawn constantly, we will look into increasing the spawn rate of FATEs."
Imo they just need to do one thing. If a FATE is used for a side quest, doesn't matter if Story, Hilidbrand, Beast tribes, Animus, Hunts or whatever, increase the spawn rate of it. Make it pop at least every 10 minutes outside of normal rotations.

I think the whole Hunt mark system is broke at the moment.
Daily hunts
How is 2 hours and 30 mins of work worth 7 points?
Most of this time is wasted on waiting for FATES to pop and in the mean time you can't do DF stuff in case you miss the FATE
Elite Hunts
As Daily hunts are so not worth it most people are partying up and non-stop burning these, their for these drop in less that 30 seconds as there HP is way too low.
By what I have been told
B marks are mean to be for soloing
A marks are mean for parties
S mark are mean for Alliances
All three of these are being taken out by 20+ ppl when they get found.
Short version is that the whole hunt system is pointless for any causal player
