What's the point of having Seps as a normal mark when it's only available during the FATE?

To screw with you. seriously though, the B, A, and S rank ones are really the only ones worth your time. the others give TINY rewards, and finding/fighting the higher rank ones is actually entertaining/rewarding. the basic hunts just feel like lame fetch quests.
I'm fairly certain that the 1,000 gil you get from the daily hunts are a better reward than the 1 allied seal. Of course that's negated by teleporting, but if you happen to find yourself in the appropriate zone I guess you might as well....
I don't know about other servers, but on Siren, I waited for 4 hours for Naul to pop last night. 3 pops missed first none. None reported the whole time last night. It's only added to the reason that childish or malicious folks will shout fake coordinates for gullible people to follow to find nothing there. Got the dailies done both days so far and managed to kill a new monster in Souther Thanalan first night, but still waiting on the weekly. Spending so much time earning $$ to buy brooms to clean Chocobo stables, don't have much time to do this.
Exactly my point. My girlfriend and I waited three hours for the Seps FATE to spawn last night and gave up since it was the only mark either of us had left. Sure, they may not be worth much, but if a mark is going to be gated behind a FATE, it needs to be one that spawns more frequently than Giant Seps.
At 1st I tought this was kind of like the Hunting Log with pretty pictures but when I found out that some of these marks only pop with Fates I said screw this. I am not going to stand around waiting for a Fate to pop for 1000 gil when it took me 500 just to teleport here
Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs
Yeah, i'm really frustrated that i've been waiting almost an hour for 1 fate to spawn, while another fate has spawned 3 times already. The regular marks should be much simpler to finish, and the Elite fates should be the more challenging ones... this is driving me crazy.
In all honesty the whole hunt is seriously flawed. Elite marks may be the way to get marks faster, but at the same time they spawn randomly through the entire zone and have extremely low HP. When you have hundreds of people hunting the elite marks this means that the chance of more than a handful of the many even getting credit, let alone seeing it alive, far too low.
SE should have done the following:
Made multiple spawns at a given time of the same mark.
Increased the HP of the single mark allowing more to get credit.
Or done both.
Due to how you get credit (x% of damage dealt) this means getting to the mark is far more difficult than even killing or finding the mark.
In another MMO they had a system going so say you killing this mob who has say 1K hp. Someone comes along and thinks yeah I'll have a big of the action. The mobs HP rose to 2K to accommodate for this new person. Thus allowing everyone to get a fair chance of killing the mob. SE could have been more flexible in how they achieved this knowing the influx of people who would be wanting to do it.
It would make the fights more interesting rather than the 10 second zerg we currently have.
As to the marks that are fate bosses it does seem a bit ridiculous considering spawn times and amount of fate related objectives we've had to deal with recently but if you don't really want to do them you can always discard the mark bills and wait for fresh ones the following day.
They really need to up the XP of all the marks so people have the time to get in a few good attacks, Naul doesn't last more than 10 secs if there's 15+ people there
