    Hunts are terrible

    As the title says. No redeeming quality whatsoever. They might as well have just added new fates because honestly the fates are 10x better at this point.

    Yes, this is another thread just complaining, but hopefully the masses will get this horrible system changed in the near future if we all voice our complaints.

    I've "touched" Naul 3 times today. Comes into sight at around 50-80% for all three attempts. By the time I reach him, I get 1 or 2 hits in. Rewarded with 1 seal.

    My fix? IMO, making the target immune to damage for a period of time after spawning would fix this. Also, if SE learned ANYTHING from their terrible Odin and Behemoth systems, GIVE FULL REWARD NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HIT THE ENEMY. Healers don't even get the short end of the stick here. They just never get to touch the stick at all.

    getting 5k myth for a flawed system that screws over certain jobs and allows LSs to "ruin" it for people who claimed first by pulling out of range and zerging after reset..... is nothing to brag about

    Cool story brah, i'm here to comment on the OP's Fates >>>Hunts statement.

    Fate system has been despised ever since I can remember, more so since the introduction of the Animus and Novus quest lines. Literally past 6 months on this forum has been nothing but "fate system, wahhh wahhh wahhh", "atma drop rate, wahhhh wahhh wahhh", "RNG wahhhh wahhh wwahhhhhh".

    Guess we've moved on now there's a new flavour ....healers still don't know how to dps mobs, awwwww

    I was sad to hear Hunts being globalized events. I was hoping they'd be more like Quests where you simply go to X destination and fight potentially difficult monsters. I haven't had the chance to play them yet, but they don't sound that appealing if anyone can show up and kill it before you can even breathe.

    Also, I think the "coordinated" players which show up after a Hunt has started, that are leashing the Hunts away to intentionally reset them after the first players have fought it for a while, should be reportable. That's ruining others' experiences for incredibly selfish reasons.

    I also don't understand why Healers are still getting shafted. Like, from a performance situation I can understand a bit the difficulty with many players on the screen at once, but SE has really had the chance to improve the award system for Healers in these types of battles after the initial debacles with Behemoth/Odin.

    should have made them forced pops somehow. do something like they eventually did with XI... 3 spawn points, with a cool down on each one. could spread them out (Naul at Steel/Stone Vigil and one other spot) so you don't have them all clumped up in one spot.

    I can now get fun items in the open world.

    I like them.

    I don't like how quick crap dies or how there's no real way to 'track' the enemies, but still the best addition of the patch.

    I sort of like the system, but going after the weekly bounty is basically counterproductive right now. You'd do much better killing the unmolested elite marks in other zones. Having everyone going for the same rank B mark is silly since rank Bs are easily soloable -- slightly more trouble than a Boarskin treasure map.

    Better to do in a party = Major +

    Decent gear from open world = Thank god about time Huge +.

    Everyone can hit it = Major -

    It is a mindless Zerg = Major -

    It is a Fate without a marker on it. There is no difference from Odin and an S class hunt mob.

    As many problems as this event has... it is probably the best thing they added to XIV in awhile.

    It is a huge step forward for SE, but it is still only a FATE with a decent reward. SE needs to abandon the FATE mechanics. If Yoshida is against mob claiming... these should of been put into Leves or something similar instead. Everyone fighting 1 mob in the open world fails when it becomes the focus of open world.
