p.s. I found out about the scroll lock when the cat walked across my keyboard while I was in the midst of a dungeon battle, turning off my HUD, and leaving me scrambling to figure out how to turn it back on again.

While a feature much like this already exists for the development environment, it’s currently not in a form that can be utilized by the general populous and it would require a heavy amount of adjustments so that it can be easily operated. Due to the fact that this would take quite a bit of time to test, we do not have any plans at the moment to add a feature such as this.

See Perfect World International's Camera/photo Mode for a good way to implement it for the players. You can already change the camera direction away from the original target position if you focus target with controller emulation or a controller.
