Did Avere truly love Edda? He treated her like garbage, or was she delusional?

Avere (fiance's name). The smaller lettering is all just Avere as well
I can see it go two ways:
- Avare really did Love Edda. But they were unfortunate enough to be star-cross lovers
- Or Avare was an emotional abuser. Huring Edda to the point where Stockholm Syndrome reared its head and she became Obsessed with him (Think Harley Quinn and Joker, if Harley took up Necromancy)
Avere was abusive to Edda. And if Liavinne's dialogue while she was at the waking sands is any indication he was also cheating on her with Liavinne.
Here is the dialogue from them at Sastasha:
Edda: <gasp> I-I’m sorry, Avere! I came as fast as I could!
Edda: I tried haggling with the merchant, but two potions was the best I could get with the money you gave me. I had no idea how expensive they were!
Avere: Ye’ve only ever been as useful as the contents o’ yer pockets─the gods know ye can barely ‘eal a scratch!
Avere: We took up the ‘venturin’ life to take on the big jobs an’ claim the big rewards. How’re we meant to do that if ye can’t even get our supplies in order?
Avere: Hm? It’s ‘er─the one Baderon was talkin’ to!
Avere: Well, we’ll see who gets the glory! This job should’ve been ours in the first place!
Liavinne: Bwahahaha! Edda, you’re so slow, you’d lose a footrace to a tree slug.
Paiyo Reiyo: This is perfect for our inaugural outing as a party─wandering around in the caves, turning over a few rocks… How difficult could it possibly be?
Paiyo Reiyo: I never expected our first visit to the Adventurers’ Guild would yield such a straightforward way to win fame and fortune.

Okay then she had a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome and other assorted psychological aliments Represented thought a need to be accepted, having that lead literately beaten into her as if Hank Pym was her wife. She became depedant on Avare for support and succor, unfortunately Karma bit Avere in the ass (and most of the body) but the Trama hurt Edda, convinced that they loved each other. She then snapped and drawn upon the forbidden spells of the lost era of white magic (Don't know what era but Ampador had something to do with that)
I wonder how the parents took to Avare's death and Edda's breakdown. They're probably not going to get any Parent of the year awards.
This storyline and subsequent dungeon were some of my favorites in the game thus far. Even before the introduction of Tam Tara HM, Edda was an NPC with depth and substance which made her memorable over the other faceless NPC's we have been doing useless quests for. I really hope there is more to this in the future.
A further nice touch to this story was as you complete the dungeon, your character does not give the /cheer emote, but gives a sad look and shakes their head.
I wish SE would give more opportunity for character emotion in the game. When I play my character, I like to believe they are unique individuals. Even if it doesn't affect the storyline, it's a nice touch to the game. I always felt hands down the opening CS to the game was well done and I actually felt like "OK, there's my character and that's what their like." Everything after that was sort of meh. But nonetheless good job on this one SE.
Don't think that is white magic, maybe something to do with the void seeing it's all voidsent in the dungeon (besides the spiders). Black magic? Since the BLM questline implies a lot of the power is from the void.Okay then she had a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome and other assorted psychological aliments Represented thought a need to be accepted, having that lead literately beaten into her as if Hank Pym was her wife. Maybe it's Ampador-brand White Magic mixed with thamaturgy then?
You are basing this on the Baalzephons and the Allotaur (iirc?) appearing in both instances (Ruins and Tam-Tara)? The reasons the voidsent were in Ruins was because black magic put them there. Diabolos was summoned by an enemy nation of Amdapor from within, and white magic bound and sealed them inside (see the white magestones holding back the Baals). Probably along with Diabolos, some other things seeped through too.
I think Edda was just so lost in darkness that she was consumed by it and turned to black magic to get her boyfriend back. Another person on Reddit suggested she made a pact with the voidsent like the boss from Haukke Manor did. I could see it also explaining how she came back from the dead.
