    Elite NM's Need to be changed

    Today, several times we have at least 100-150 people trying to get Naul, just to have only 4 people get it from over attacking it. Just to be forced to wait a extremely long time after. People won't stop attacking it, which result is very few getting credit. It is totally unfair and silly. Needs to be changed!

    I've seen this happen too. After a large group gathered and someone pulled (people who were still on their way were pissed), I got in fairly quickly and only got 5 moves in as monk before it died. I only got 1 Allied Seal, 3 myth, 1 soldiery, and NO credit for the weekly. The lack of HP on the elites is a serious problem and makes it the type of system most of us feared it would be, couple people get it and everyone else waits around for the next spawn, wherever and whenever that may be.

    It's very reminiscent of the fate quests that took hours to spawn and were over in seconds. I thought they had heard people hated that. A hunt is supposed to be an active stalking of prey, picking up a trail, luring with tricks. The hunting in this game is just the fate quests that everyone hates where you wait and wait and wait and then miss the opportunity and wait some more. Absolute garbage.


    Let us put time into baiting a trap, or following a trail. This event wait is just terrible non-gameplay.

    Honestly, because they die so fast, the person who pulls is the one who gets the credit for the weekly since everyone else's contribution is so low. But on my server, if you pull, you're blacklisted by everyone in the zone 'cause you "didn't wait". If you do wait, someone else pulls.

    It would nice if they made it RNG Elite Hunt so not everyone has the same Hunt every week.

    If you have 30+ people decked out in iLV90 (or higher) equipment beasting on Naul, a lot of them will not get the full reward of 20 Allied Seals. Maybe SE should apply the FATE rule to Hunts, where the mob's power is adjusted based on how many people particpated in killing it last.

    Seriously. This was not implemented well.
    Another issue is the way the Elites currently work discourages the community from actually being helpful and courteous. On Hyperion, a group of my friends started a LS (like Odin or Behemoth used to have) that quickly became very popular. It gets to the point where now we've got so many people informed when a mob pops that it's almost impossible to hold it because it just doesn't even survive the tagging by so many people. On top of that, even when an Elite is held for a decent length of time to allow people to make it, it ends up screwing people over because it makes it harder to get full contribution (you pretty much have to be in at least a light party).

    We're working with it, but it's a pain to organize and it really shouldn't be. It shouldn't be difficult for a community to be good instead of selfish.

    I am trying so hard to not rage out right now. I have been trying to find a stupid NM all day. Not even the mark, I gave up on that fairly quickly. I finally find one. I tag it and kill it from full hp with people and I get 1..one....ONE seal! They all got 5 because they were in a group.

    This system is not fun or rewarding. The dailies are not worth the time especially when they are tied to waiting hours on specific fates or fate bosses. This is like a currency form of the atma grind. An activity should have longevity based on the enjoyment that is derived not the amount of tedium one is willing to mire through just to see any form of productivity.

    Let me buy bait for 1000 seals and have to find it's trail. Once I track it to its hunting ground let me form a party and draw it out with bait. Let me start the hunt like a leve and have a unique path to track to a different area than someone else. Rank B baits, 1k seals. Rank A bait 5k. Rank S 10k. Fixed. Spent 5 minutes thinking about it.

    Side note: Everything else in the patch, dungeons and raid, are fantastic. The amount of joy I receive from them is brobdingnagian. The music made me cry.
