I just built this brand new system back in april to maximize ffxiv.
got everything up and running drivers everything updated ect ect I should be good right?

so I install ffxiv and go to start playing and after a few hours of playing the whole computer locked up and froze... ok wth.. I rebooted and opened the event viewer to give me errors. there was a few so I resolved everything and start playing again.

this time though im not even in the game 5 min and the game freezes...
so i reboot again and go to fiddle around with the games settings i was like well maybe its full screen that's causing it so i put the game in windowed mode... i get about 4 hours into playing this time and instead of a freeze i got a blue screen of death with an error of whea uncontrollable error.

so at this point im angy i just dumped 5 grand into a pc and i cant even play the one game i built it for. so i start running 12+ hour stress tests on everything and every thing comes back no errors found everything checked out fine. everything running graet no over heating issues everything running at about 40-45 C when under load when xiv is running in a crowded area.

by this time im so mad i just rma'd everything figuring it was a faulty part or something.

so after a month of waiting on parts to get replaced and sent to me i get everything hooked up everything updated, drivers bios windows, run all my stress tests everything comes great no errors. so i figure i should be good now.

boot up xiv in fullscreen again get about 2 hours in and freeze....

and this has been going on for about a months now ive pretty much been trying everything i can from trying different hard drives to different ram to only using one of my graphics cards but the result is always the same.. fullscreen after a while freezes the game and windowed throws the blue screen of death error. and in the event viewer the only error im getting is your pc has been shut down improperly. there is no other errors besides when i have to force a shutdown because of the freeze.

so recently ive been going thru the forums seeing if anyone else has had my problems in the past and i came upon a post in the resolved issues section named freezing/crash/bsod that had 30+ pages of people with the same problem. thing is it was from just after beta phase.

im at wits end about this issue. it does not do it with any other game i have on my computer Wow, Tera, Wildstar, Diablo 3 all work fantastic without no fuss its just this game giving me the trouble.

my system specs are

Operating system: windows 8 x64
Mother board: Asus Maximus Vi Formula
Ram: 4sx Gskill Trident 8 Gb sticks
Cpu: Intel 4770k
Graphics cards: 2x Asus 780ti Directcu II oc editions in SLI
Power supply: an Nzxt Hail v2 1200W modular
Hard drives: a Samsung evo pro 250 gb ssd, wd black caviar 1 tb drive

so at this point im not sure what to do.

i really like this game and when its running it runs great without frames limited my system easily runs at over 200 fps and there is no lag nothing these problems seem to come outta nowhere. some times its right when a boss gets agroed other times its when im just sitting idle in my fc house. no lag or slow down before these problems start just bam freeze.

i can pretty much play any game but this one and this is the one i want to ply the most but with these issues im stuck playing on a ps4 til it is resolved and after months of throwing new parts and fiddling with every system opition imaginable. im 200% positive it is not my hardware but something about the game that's causing the errors/freezes. because i can control how the game is set up and it gives the same problems. fullscreen = freeze. windowed mode = blue screen of death (Whea uncontrollable error).
