    Looking for friends and knowledge.

Hello all! I am Artorious Abysswalker (yes I know Artorias is the correct spelling but had to do it differently). I am looking for understanding friends and players to run dungeons with. I am not exactly new, but am relatively new to cooperating with others, at least in a manner in which I would matter. My chosen roles are Tank (PLD lvl 50) and Healer (WHM lvl 50). I am having trouble getting into the higher level dungeons and instances in which I could obtain my higher level equipment. I am aware I am not the best tank and am open to suggestions and advice. I want to contribute to a party with my roles in a manner in which the party feels confident in my abilities. I'm still learning and if a more experienced Tank would like to show a newer one how the proper way to do the role is I am all ears! I am on Brynhildr and look forward to making more friends!

If you've reached level 50, then you can post on the Brynhildr boards, where you're more likely to find people actually from your server (On the forum list, Worlds (NA/EU) -> Brynhildr). Use the Forum Profile things to set your main class so the system recognises you've reached a high enough level.

I know the feeling, tanking can be over whelming at times, if you have something specific as already stated we will be glad to help with suggestions. If you ever find yourself in dire need of a new server feel free to xfer to behemoth and I can run stuff with you and give pointers for tanking.

Give a man a fish and he'll be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll promptly forget that he once didn't know and proceed to call anyone who asks a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

Thank you for the reply! One nagging question: While tanking is it proper dungeon etiquette to mark the enemies with numbers or not? I notice most other tanks do not whenever I go in as a healer. And if it is my 1st time in that dungeon should I be marking enemies I am not familiar with?

If I decide to transfer servers I will keep that in mind, thank you. I do not mean to ask dumb questions like a noob but I just want to tank in such a manner that the rest of the party will be glad I was there, not regretting my presence. I am using flash on mobs and I spam provoke and shield toss on stray enemies that chase my healer but still feel like I am not tanking like I should. I can keep a boss on me no problem, but have trouble with keeping enmity of the mobs. How do you deal with DPSers who just charge in before I can mark and draw hatred?
