in case someone hasn't said it yet Lancer is the best class, true story.
LNC is arguably the most unique and diverse combat job in the game, but it certainly isn't the strongest. Just like RDM wasn't the best healer in XI. RDM relied on it's other assets to go above and beyond the confines of it's role (light damage/debuffer), just as LNC relies on it's DNC-like abilities to go above it's calling as a DD.
i like lancer, its fun =)
Oh god already the QQing about which class does more dmg has already started.
Since I'm in lancer territory I'm not going to bash the class, but by no means is lancer superior to any class.
The reason is because Archer is already the superior class bwahahaha![]()
My Lancer doesn't have a major role in a party. My Lancer isn't the best DD. He's not the best Tank. My Lancer is a Lancer. He just does what he does, and he does it damn good. That's why it's my favourite class so far.

^This is 'like' worthy
I am a Drg at heart. Lancer is my favorite job due to this but I also respect the other jobs. I know I am not DD king nor am I vital to a party... but when I am in one, oh how easy it makes things for the rest. My Speed Surge II gives a little relief to mages. My Comrad in Arms II Kills the mob faster for all. My twisting vice keeps some big damage or debuffs at bay that the mob has in store. These are key notes that lead to a more successful and quicker raid in the future.
