I only corrected the OP. If you quoted me I responded to what you said that was relevant to the OP. I don't care if you think Lancer is the best and all that it's my favorite too.

Put it this way your doing a disservice saying how great lancer is because then we wont get the things this job needs to be fixed and as uber as it should be.

You didn't correct me..God.. I was clearly stating my snobby attitude towards ranking up any other class.. much like anyone who is dedicated to their favorite class.. which should be fine in the Lancer section.. are you trolling the lancer section? Of course a THM can use exploits to kill most NM mobs.. but that will eventually be nerfed.. just like the "aggro" problem that made archer "too hard" to play in the first two months the game was out.. and just like feint being "unfair" to other DoWs.. but all they did was double our TP cost.. Tanking was never supposed to be a lancers role.. low ranking players believe this because of the aggro pull as well as the high defense armor (Hauby/Plate) lancers can wear.. no need to be a troll to them in Lancer tanking threads..

Disservice? How is saying that Lancer is great a disservice? There is nothing really to fix with Lancer.. The job implies everything that was described on the main webpage, "By utilizing the long reach of their polearms, lancers are able to deal devastating damage from a position of relative safety. The battle tactics of the lancer afford them numerous advantages, such as avoiding the ire of enemies and enhancing the attacks of companions." SE already said they are fixing the battle system.. Besides the fixes they have planned.. any problems with Lancer is basically on the players end of the spectrum

I did correct you. Other jobs are not inferior to lancer. There can be no argument against the facts here.

I'm not trolling this is coming from a realistic Lancer.

As been showed in other threads in this forum a lot of people don't know what lancer is.

'I want a debuffer lancer subed with thm'
'I want to tank with lancer'

Obviously other players don't even know what their job is supposed to do. If thats not an indication that lancer does need a fix then you won't ever think so.

Saying some jobs are going to be nerfed doesnt change the fact that they can do things lancer can do only better. Means lancer needs to be fixed more than they need to be nerfed. I don't dissagree thats why I took archer to 50 before they nerfed it.

Lancer is great but get real it needs a fix. Bring back the 250tp feint for example and leave it the same for the rest of the jobs. They already cant use life/speed surge which hardly defines the class.

Lancer definitely does needs some changes done to it. I've noticed that for a long time now, just like all the other jobs imho. Though, I don't see how just saying how I think Lancer is the best job is being a disservice. If the dev team gets swayed that easily by a few people saying Lancer is the best, then I think we need a new dev team. But, I'm sure that isn't going to happen.

lol you corrected me? the original poster.. the only person in this thread that can explain the meaning behind his original post.. your self given name, God, suites how you must view yourself.. I mentioned that SE is fixing the battle system..I bet you that when they do, it will help define job roles better. I also mentioned that LOW ranked lancers may think of themselves as tanks due to our ability to wear heavy armor and easily steal hate with our high damage, speed, and TP generation.. a lancer's high MP pool is another reason why low ranked players add in magic and debuffs.. its almost as if this game was built for flexibility.. hmm

Since I am the OP.. let me correct you.. This threads purpose was to show that I, an actual R50 experienced Lancer am having problems playing other classes because of Lancer being a unique class..oh.. and I dont know.. my liking for lancer??.. You took out of context that I meant the other classes are inferior in stats.. which is debatable.. my use of inferior meant, the job lancer (in imo as the OP) is more fun to play then other classes.. But according to God (lol) people arent allowed to have opinions. I really hope that your past 61 posts are insightful and not inTrollfull.. At first I was like LOLLancer, but then it grew on me. Playing it myself and seeing it in higher parties I can say that it isn't a weak class but It definately isn't the strongest. It's an upgrade from dragoon in FFXI though... haha.

There is some validity in this post I must say. All the jobs need work and talking about how great and said job is takes a spotlight off the errors it has. Constructive criticism is more important than blanket praise right now in these formulaic baby steps of this besieged MMO.

I have no real feelings towards Lancer other than my (personal) bitterness of not having my little Dragon buddy at my side. Maybe its because its my second job, I don't know. But I do enjoy my pugilist a lot more than lancer (except for my hatred of the name and the masochistic armor I wear) but would never go on about how perfect it is because I wouldn't want to give the devs the illusion that it - like lancer - doesn't have a lot of work needed done to it.

That said I'm pretty sure the OP's post was just something meant to be lighthearted and start a simple conversation.
