I appreciate the passion, but we made the announcement once the details had been determined. And you guys decided to wait the weekend OF to TELL US THIS??
What the fluff? Why wait so last minute- and as a board response no less- to talk about this?!
Ive been telling everyone I know who has the game, but left, about it, and we've been planning a FB event for this since the video released.
Please use your social networks for these sorts of things- that's what they are there for. This should have been annonced atleast a day after patch released....
While we apologize for the late notice, as we mentioned in the Patch 2.3 trailer the campaign dates are subject to change and that is what happened in this instance.

Yup, and as well all know, you can't send /tells while in an instance so we had to wait for them to leave it.
I wish they would do another Free Log in on FFXI so I could test out what they've done to make a decision on if I wanna pay for two subscriptions.
You made the announcement? You mean you made a comment when someone asked about it, would you have even said anything if no one asked about it? There is nothing on the lodestone about it being delayed.
Something tells me you have known for a while that it would be delayed.
@Bayohne
A lot of people 'coming' back may find that their servers are derelict and abandoned. Any chance that you guys could maybe offer a bundle? Renew your subscription and get a discounted/free server transfer?
Wait, so you 'determined' the details of the event and went ahead and announced it, but you never 'finalized' it, therefore had to push it back? Sounds to me like whoever was in charge of this probably shouldn't have a job right now. You don't put out a trailer then say 'my bad' once the event SHOULD have started.

Im a little annoyed, ever since it was included in the 2.3 Trailer you guys havent talked about it - for a very social media company that in itself was suspicious.
Since then ive been scouring the internet for further information and on the day its supposed to happen, i see this as an official response...
Can you at least do the right thing and send a tweet about this update?
Wait, this just shocked me, nya.... Servers are..... 'derelict and abandoned' ?... Oh damn, where are you playing?!... I should transfer there a month, take all the elite marks I could and then go back to Zodiarl... Because, at least here, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE... (Okay, no, exaggerated, just, almost impossible) to catch an elite mark at time.... All the damn maps are full of crazy people running around. And from time to time you see a super mega troop running to a location... You decide to see what are they doing and you find that it is a linkshell of 4.000.000 members trying to destroy a B mark. (Okay, I exagerated that too. There are no linkshells with 4.000.000 members. Maybe just a few number of 12 linkshells with its full 126 members or so)
Maybe the devs are disappointed about the reception of patch 2.3, and think it's better that players are "Welcome back"ed to a more positive community and less flawed gameplay mechanics and less obvious grindfests.
Many hotfix patches about a few issues are needed before players will feel "welcome", I think. Too bad they forgot to look at the date and let the community managers know.

Man there sure are a lot of people in this thread making a huge deal about absolutely nothing.
Let these guys do their jobs and go back to playing your game lol. The event will come when it comes. Not the end of the world that it was delayed.
The servers are as alive as they've ever been at the moment so I don't believe there's any danger of people coming back to find "dead servers".
