You seem awfully full of yourself. I'm certain that there are people out there who could beat you (or me) effortlessly even without having equivalent gear. There are people out there that are better than you. There are people out there who will beat you even if you have the advantage.
Since when is using a disguise not a strategy? Just because you can't handle it and adapt to the situation doesn't invalidate it as being a strategy. I'm starting to think that you don't even know what a strategy really is and are just looking to take the easy road.
Enable Glamour in Frontlineeeeesss, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaseee
They specifically stated when PVP was first introduced (which was the same time the glamour system was introduced) that glamours would not be displayed during PVP.
Frontlines is PVP, therefore follows the same rules.
....Duh.
"* Glamours may be temporarily disabled in PvP arenas and other unique areas."
^ Temporarily disabled for three months ; ;. Please un-temporarily disable it XD
Why do we need to see your glamors in Pvp?
Could care less about your look.
Glamours should work in frontlines. If not, at least give all participants a GC uniform that is visible instead of Glamours. Secret World does this by having people put on a special PvP uniform for their respective sercret society when engaged in PvP events, so this would follow a similar principle.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
I really hope they reverse this decision for many reasons.
The most important of which is the fact that PVP gear which was intended for PVP content in the first place is completely useless in frontlines. Morale doesn't work so you lose an entire stat. Okay. So the PVP gear you spend a while to save up for has no effect. Cool. Well, at least I can use it for glamour so I can look cool while kicking butts in frontlines. Oh, I can't, because glamour doesn't work in frontlines.
So the gear is effectively completely unusable.
Please allow glamours in frontlines since morale doesn't matter and what you see someone wearing has virtually no purpose.
Tricking your opponent into underestimating you is a strategy. Having glamour on to make yourself look like ilvl60 healer when you're an ilvl90+ is playing smart. Your enemy thinks you're an easy kill. When you're not. That is in fact a strategy. It's called deceiving or think of it as Military deception.I really don't care how good they think they are. When I can hit them for 1500 dmg in one hit their skill isn't going to matter they will be dead before the stun ends.
No it turns strategy into blind swinging and praying. There is no strategy when you don't know your opponent.
Ahhh, the days where you could equip your noob gear and change it to your high level one when a fool looking for an easy prey attacked you... Hahaha.Tricking your opponent into underestimating you is a strategy. Having glamour on to make yourself look like ilvl60 healer when you're an ilvl90+ is playing smart. And yes, that's strategy, and that kind of deception has been used countless times in real battles & wars (like some soldiers from army A attacking some merchants, only to find that they were trained soldiers from army B in disguise).
But nowadays many PvPers can't stand these kind of risks, so I doubt that glamours will be enabled in Frontlines.
