Desynthing primal weps.

I think your desythn level may need to exceed the item ilevel to have a chance of demimateria dropping - that's consistent with my tests so far, but they haven't been extensive and I haven't tried Primal stuff yet. Is you level higher than the weapons?

Not yet at 70 now but if i must i'll pump more resources and get it to 100+ lol.
But honestly the ony way to get exp at these later ratings is to just spam desynth on primal weps as you get around 0.20+ as to only getting a mere 0.07-0.13 rating exp from items
That are like 10 ilvls ahead.
But i've been desynthing i45-50 stuff now ( has about a 70-80% chance of success ) and only been recieving 0.5-0.12 exp or so. Its crazy lol
Already at like 245 desynths :/
Cuz honestly if that means i need to get to 110+ rating i'll be like @_@

In my FC a crafter got her GSM till i73 desyn. For Ifrit and Garuda weapon. Only got a 36% success rate. So npw I am completely confused what is going on.

I may have missed that part in the patch note but what weapon can we create? Is it tradeable?

It is as there is no heading of "unique" / untradeable.
Also how else would we get it crafted for us if we don't have our crafting classes to 3 star. Lol

If her rating is above 60% she should have around 50-60% success rate.
I believe mine was around 56% when i did those desynths.

Don't you have to level up the Desynthesis skill? I don't know why you'd assume you get one of the highest quality items from desynthesis at the lowest rank.

I doubt he'd go 5/6 successful desynths if he had the lowest rank.
The chance of getting a Demimateria increases if your desynthesis chance is 100%.

However.
If high level items and rare items have the same chance to produce Demimateria like other items, you can prepare for a long farm.
At 76 skill I got 35 Demimateria I+II from desynthing 1200+ fish. Most of them desynthed between 85-100% chance.
So, you would need ~75 primal weapons to get the 3 Demimateria you need...

To be fair, you can just glamour them over whatever you're wearing. Course, if you were hoping to see something like particle effects on them then I share your disappointment.

Well yeah; I'm going to be glamouring them, as I'm nearing my Unidentified Allagan Tomestone weapon, and I want the Maximum Sparkle version.

Seems I'm going to be doing some work. I believe my FC has a crafter who'd be capable of making them - but gathering the materials I'm either going to be doing myself or paying out the nose.

I got the new Blacksmith masterbook and one thing I noticed is that the craft description does NOT say " High Quality Unavailable".

Does that mean we can HQ the lv95 primal weapons? I'm guessing it is possible.

As Yasminou said, yah, you can HQ these. But just looking at the Lodestone Database, I noticed that the *HQ* version just gets you to equal stats of a regular "Wave" (i95 Leviathan) weapon. So the NQ of these weapons is subpar of the i95 weapons out there. Sigh. I know you can add some Materia on there, but those secondary stats account for a minor percentage of your overall damage.

If you are leveling Cul for desynth then u r kinda wasting ur time atm lol
I was probably lucky my desynth worked at the 50s %.
I desynthd
- 3 ifrit lances
-2 ifrit swords
-1 ifrit axe
The one that failed was an ifrit sword
Cuz i really don\\'t see how having more than 100% success desynthing can improve your chances of obtaining a demimateria.
All i know it will assure u 100% success of desynthing it.
But if it is true then i think 150 rating would be probably the ball point of the best chance of farming demimateria without spending the rest of your points.

You can't get your desynth rating above 100 in a given class.
