Desynthing primal weps.

As a bsm i've been desynthing quite a few ifrit weps in hopes of getting an inferno demimateria. But the problem is that 5/6 times it was successful but it only produced 1 or 2 earth and fire crystals and the ocasional 3rd ingot.
I was like whatttttt no way.
My only other assumption is that the demimateria would be produced from ifrit ex drops. :/

Nah it's just a rare drop, keep this in mind, you need 3 of the "primal materia' in order to make the weapon, the concept of making these weapons is pretty much a time sink because you have to first obtain the weapons and then break them down. What you can do well what I imagine you might of done is stock up on all the primals weapons you can desynth storing them on retainer, and then breaking them all at once to increase odds but the rarity of the materia is unknown atm.

Since also gotta keep this in mind, they are i95 weapons which you can also add materia to, so one can imagine how tough it will be to obtain these in relation to the amount of time it takes to obtain a levi weapon.

I may have missed that part in the patch note but what weapon can we create? Is it tradeable?

I got the new Blacksmith masterbook and one thing I noticed is that the craft description does NOT say " High Quality Unavailable".

Does that mean we can HQ the lv95 primal weapons? I'm guessing it is possible.

As Yasminou said, yah, you can HQ these. But just looking at the Lodestone Database, I noticed that the *HQ* version just gets you to equal stats of a regular "Wave" (i95 Leviathan) weapon. So the NQ of these weapons is subpar of the i95 weapons out there. Sigh. I know you can add some Materia on there, but those secondary stats account for a minor percentage of your overall damage.

All crafted items of equal ilvl and slot/job have to be HQ to match dungeon/raid drops of equal ilvl. Nothing new there.

To be fair, you can just glamour them over whatever you're wearing. Course, if you were hoping to see something like particle effects on them then I share your disappointment.
