Very much this, last patch retainer came back with leather crafting station, none in history so listed it for 6.5 mil with the plan to reduce it by 100k daily till it sold, it sold straight away lol

I've never seen a craft station come back in a venture before,, you must of been stoked.

best I've gotten is minions and taffeta cloth and the like... nothing actually worth a lot as of yet.
but then I do only do he tier 14 now daily ventures

Retainers won't bring back crafting stations anymore from quick ventures. One of the early 2.2x patches after 2.2 dropped nerfed them to not bring back such ridiculously over the top 3-star crafted items. They may still bring back things like carbuncle furniture and summoning bells apparently, but definitely not crafting stations.

Quick and they removed them from items that can be found :/

Way different mechanism than in 1.xx but yes, shards and crystals. Kind of hoping that the biggest fish will give clusters but I am no where close to desynthing them.

You pretty much only get Water shards, with some Earth and Wind shards from dune- and sky-fish, respectively. Great if you're an alchemsit, pretty meh otherwise.

It would have been cool if you could get all varieties of shards depending on the fish you desynthed, but sadly it isn't so.
