    The second round of Fan Fest ticket sales...

    ...should be restricted to subscribers with promo codes only for the first 24 hours. I still can't believe that Squenix only had ~2,500 tickets reserved for today's advance sale.

    I doubt the remaining tickets to be sold 7/15 will last the full 24 hours even restricted to promo code holders only considering how instantly they went at 10:30 am before the site crashed, and then at 5:00 pm where they literally went in 30 seconds.

    But it's not fair to subscribers who have been paying for the game that they will have to compete with scalpers on 7/15, especially now that people realize how high the demand will be. I thought this was a Fan Fest, so why aren't fans getting the fair shot at buying tickets?

    Fans are getting a fairshot, people who are subbed to XIV even got emails with promo codes whereas those who didn't/aren't weren't getting emails with promo codes from what I've seen. Everybody had a fairshot. Fan Festivals could also mean fans of the series (Final Fantasy) and not necessarily XIV alone, as many people who didn't play FFXI went to the Vanadiel festivals/Fan Fests as well.

    Also this is like the 3rd topic saying it should be reserved to subs only even though I haven't seen Blizz/Quakecon reserve tickets solely to people who play those games.

    I find it hard to imagine a general fan of Final Fantasy would go to the FFXIV Fan Fest. People who are general fans of FF don't go to the Vanadiel things every year you know.

    And I suggested that ticket sales be restricted to subscribers only for the first 24 hours. That's not an unreasonable request, and if the demand is as big as it is, at least all tickets will go to people who are actively paying for and playing the game which is better than tickets going to scalpers.

    All the tickets vanished within 30 seconds. It was utter madness. By 5:01pm PST, they were all gone...
