    It just is what it is…Garbage mega grind and an offense to players without endless time for this Game. I really wanted to stay on top of things with my DOL/DOH and get them all their iLevel 75 tools. I know I do not need them now (have all crafters on 3 star Level) but I am sure, already with the next patch, this will change when they most probably introduce new recipes.

    I do not want to make Money with Desynthesis. I just want it for my own supply to get these damn tools. But as it looks now, this is not going to happen. How long is the Patch out? Two months or a bit more?

    I have leveled my Carpenter (Yeah, I know probably one of the worst choices I could have made but alas, I did without knowing it is the worst) and he is now close to 90%. So far I have crafted about 40 items that provide Fieldcraft III Materia and desynthesized them. Result is I have THREE Fieldcraft III Materia so far. And I need 80 alone for my DOH. EIGHTY!!!! And 30 more when I would like to get the DOL tools as well.

    This is a perspective where I have to ask myself if I am insane to continue or if SE is insane to offend us with such low Success chances again. How on Earth am I supposed to get my Materia together? I need 2 items for my CRP craft where I need 500 Myth for each piece or have to spend 10-15k per piece on the market (or 6/7 per day through Ixali quest which is a little ease).

    Additionally, I need to harvest masses of two different items and craft something from one of them before I can craft the item I want. Since weeks, I am harvesting and crafting my ass off. I never have enough shards, I never have enough items.

    All just to see how I fail with a reliable rate of 50%, no matter what my Desynth chance is that the Game presents to me. And the “successful” melds still have a high chance that I just get one of the items back I used to craft it. And here and there (like I said 3 out of 40 items) I receive a single Materia of the tye I need. And I am talking only about Fieldcraft III here. I do not have a DOH yet for the Mastercraft Demimateria.

    I do not mind long term goals but Desynthesis is a bad joke at player’s costs. Great that the Game promotes that you can play all classes. But their Desynthesis mechanics make it almost impossible to keep your DOH/DOL on a top Level. You may pick one or two but that’s it. Or you spend millions and more millions of Gil and just buy the Materia. Choice between Cholera and Plague!

    This thread is like people pressing the basic touch button and complaining to Squeenix that it doesn't provide enough HQ.

    You can avoid 0.01 loss, using a desynth rotation. But i don't see the point or the fun in that, it's just annoying as hell and bad design.

    Just wondering if there's been any update on this Desynthesis Lock feature? Can we expect it soon?

    I know there's a workaround, but this is just a nice feature to have from a general quality of life point of view. And it makes the whole Desynthesis system feel more user-friendly.
