Housing system: Land race

Its 30 days inactive. I think 'inactive' is decided by 'did at least one person enter the house even for two seconds in a months time?'. The FC I am in has been checking just in case but the likelihood of an entire FC going off the map and leaving their house abandoned for that long is pretty slim in my mind. I just hope 2.38/2.4 releases more than one ward. The longer they go without meeting the demand, the more people are queuing up to get a house and the harder it will become. Also I feel your pain. The FC I am in raised its rank and the 4.5 mil we have with only the two original members.

One can hope that a small FC might drop off the map, lol. You're practically at the same point we are. We've been trying to play the markets in hopes that we can have enough to maybe buy a medium sized house within a week or two of it dropping (Houses have been selling rather slowly on Shiva, but it feels like we have a lot of "big" FCs instead of a lot of smaller ones).

Thats what we are hoping for but Balmung wards fill up literally hours after dropping. Not just small or large plots, all plots. Which makes me fear, even if our FC wanted personal housing (which no one does), that the amount of wards of FC housing will correlate to they amount they release for personal. Which obviously would not meet demands in the least. We'll see. Currently we could afford a small house at max price. The trick will be, how do we get one when the patch drops while most people on the west coast are asleep for work?

....Ok. So let me understand you correctly? Alot of FC's on large servers still can't get even a small plot for their FC. Now you are allowing individual players to simply purchase a house in the formerly only FC housing wards, further inciting a land race? Am I understanding this correctly? Please, I beg you, someone correct me because I may or may not want to stomp on kittens right now. (Just kidding I love kittens, but seriously, this is completely ridiculous). Not to mention all the whispered 'It will be cheaper', 'The number of FC wards will effect the number of personal housing wards' that went around. This is the equivalent of smacking a new bow on an xmas gift most of us haven't' even seen yet and telling us to wait for next year.

In the future, we plan to be able to double the total land for all existing housing wards, including the two new wards, in Patch 2.4 with the system changes that we are currently working on.

Double? Double is not nearly enough. At least on Balmung and big legacy servers, wards are still going like hot cakes even with FC's. With individuals going in for lots too? I'm honestly a bit flabbergasted by this and the misdirection it seems all players were given regarding the nature of personal housing. This is not personal housing. This is FC housing with a new name tag and I'm of the opinion its made a god awful situation worse. FC's that have been waiting patiently to buy housing since its release must now fight individual players. Individual players who hoped personal housing would be affordable and easier to obtain are now fighting FCs. The only ones who benefit from this are the FC's that have been making 2nd and 3rd FC's and power leveling them up in order to purchase multiple lots. Now they can skip right over the 'level up the FC phase' and go straight to the proverbial 'GO' by having their members buy up lots with FC funds. My apologies if this resembles a rant but it is and no preemptive apology on the part of any dev or otherwise in this company is going to make it better in my opinion.

A) 2 300 000 players / 64 servers = average of 35 937.5 players / server
B) 35 937.5 players per server / 20 small plots per wards = 1796.875 wards
C) 1796.875 wards / 3 wards per city = 598.958333

Dear Square Enix, please work towards adding 600 wards per city, per server. Patch 2.4 would be good.

This is completely idiotic. Great job. I've been subbed for 270 days straight.

SE just lost my sub. I was looking forward to this so much. Me and my GF put our money together and got 1.7m, I was staying up till 3am tonight to buy ours just in case they left the land race intact, but now they didn't even change the price.

@BroodingFicus i see your point and agree. im sry things turned out that way for you and your FC all i can say is theyd better fix things in an update. they've really screwed up housing in a big way. though i can see both sides and understand y SE made the decisions they did.
