I stress tested the card after the issue popped up with Furmark with no artifacting, and temps were fine (and all other games show no problems). Most that seem to have issues have a gtx 700 series card, so I doubt that they all suddenly went defective.
I also had the game "not loading a piece of the level in time" but I thought it was normal or related to the "Streaming LOD" setting.
It might be a bug after the patch since before this it never happened.
Maybe it's supposed to make the game run faster
(btw I have a GeForce9800GT)

I noticed the UI atleast flickering but I am on ps4 how odd looks like it could be either A: That they made a big oops in the code "It happens" or B: It could be something that was supposed to improve performance but wasnt thought all the way through.

Currently using a brand new GTX750ti which replaced my old ATI 6870
Current issues:
Object flicker - seems to occur on objects that are rendered in unreachable locations. The trees surrounding The Goblet are one that stand out. This happens all the time.
Full screen flicker - this is almost a strobe effect. All menus lose their backgrounds and get replaced with an alpha chequered mesh. Japanese writing appears randomly, overlaid on the English UI components (mostly in the chat boxes). This happens occasionally, I fix it by alt-tabbing out of the game and then back in.
I run the game at max graphics with everything turned on at the highest setting in full screen mode.
Having an opinion does not make you right or wrong, it simply means you have an opinion. Don't get irritated when people don't agree.

I have the same HUD Flickering problem as well, but it isn't just limited to that: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...bient-Audio-PC

Furmark is a shader tester, it will often not identify faulty VRAM unless the memory controller itself is faulty.

Also a sign of faulty video memory.Object flicker - seems to occur on objects that are rendered in unreachable locations. The trees surrounding The Goblet are one that stand out. This happens all the time.

At the very least, try a driver update.

I have the UI flickering issue at PS4 as well - just standing next to FC chest at Old Gridania with minion out and slowly turning camera around will make the UI flicker annoyingly. This is definitelly NOT "faulty" card or drivers. Once the mainenace is over I can upload the video of the issue as well. It seems to be less progressive without minion out (at least for me) but could be just coincidence ... Haven't noticed any artifacts yet nut those might be there as well.

The flickering UI has been mixed in with this issue but it is not the same as the ops.I have the UI flickering issue at PS4 as well - just standing next to FC chest at Old Gridania with minion out and slowly turning camera around will make the UI flicker annoyingly. Having the same issues as the OP, with the odd artifact here and there with the arrival in 2.3.
Both PC's I've been using have been having similar issues (one was built in the last four days), as have a slew of FC members with graphics cards ranging from low to high end and quite a few others here on the message boards. This is not a 'faulty VRAM' issue. This is a bug in code and should be rectified ASAP.
No, new drivers don't help. Updated to latest. It's very highly unlikely that as soon as 2.3 drops a whole bunch of people's cards are suddenly defective when literally a day before there was -zero- issue.
