Is double Flare nerfed?

Tried timing Flare after Transpose to Umbral ice between the first and second MP tick and didn't get the extra tick for the second Flare.

Let me know if it's the same for you guys, but I think they nerfed it. Haven't played BLM in a while mind you, so I realize this may be old news, unless this nerf came with 2.3...

Double flare is not nerfed, ( manual cast, convert, swiftcast 2nd flare). What you mean is the endless flare as I call it since you can cycle through it over and over without stoping. Yes it seems that's been nerfed. You do get the mp tick but it's a very little amount of mp, not enough to do a flare. And that changed in 2.3

Yeah the infinite flare rotation seems to be nerfed. I was testing on a dummy and it seems the tick now converts to Astral 3 instead of carrying over Umbral 3. I did everything, waited the two secs after the first tick in UI3 then began casting flare. As soon as I flared the mp tick I got was only 72 mp. I guess it's back to Fire 2 spam for Aoe's and finishing with flare.

Also you can triple flare with mp pots (manual cast, convert, swiftcast flare, hi-ether or better, manual cast).
