I really wanted a reading area by my desk. It took me several tries to get it so it didn't seem jumbled together.

I think the Columns are great for breaking up the space of the room, in conjunction with the partitions. I've checked out a lot of rooms with only partitions and they seem a little sterile.

Yeah I went with columns over partitions too; our estate's in Mist, too, so I wanted a look that felt airy and cool given we live on a beach a few miles from a rainforest.

Hey guys - I don't know if you've heard of it but I have a FFXIV housing blog called Chocobo Construction Company (ChocoboConstructionCompany.com) and I'm putting together a gallery section for rooms and FC halls. I'd really like to add a lot of these pictures to it, so I'm going to be rolling characters on each of your servers to ask you individually if it's ok (since I don't want to steal images). But if you see this and don't mind, please let me know on this forum if it's ok to add your designs to my blog, which would save me some time making a character and hunting you down. ~Cheers!
