Chocobo Dye

I thought it was mentioned at E3 (or some other event) that we would be able to Dye our chocobos with the stables. Did I mishear and it's coming later?

Why would it be awful now, as opposed to getting it later? Are you suggesting that we only get to pick a dye when we breed the chocobo? As far as I know, it's already been stated that we can Dye them whenever.

What I understand is that we give them special food that change the color of the feathers.

I believe it was mentioned that when the system is implemented, it will be that the Chocobo will grow new feathers of a different colour, rather than dying the feathers.

I think he's referring to the way breeding worked in FF7. You had to raise and cross breed the birds to get different colours. I would prefer that method as well tbh, makes having a fancy colour a little bit more prestigious.

Already you can see in-game on your companion's menu in the appearance tab that there's a section for color you cannot highlight yet
It says and shows the color corresponding to "Chocobo yellow"
