Nope, you cannot (not till later).

You need a garden for it (it is a garden furniture). And you need a house for the garden.
It is planned for later that the players could also use the chocobo stables out in the open world.

I guess you could buy it and admire it in your inventory.
But without a garden to place it you can't use it.

Ah ok, that kinda sucks. I have no experience with the the housing and thought maybe the stables were somehow independent. ...like buying a storage unit, for your chocobo, lol.

They already mentioned they'll be adding the chocobo stable functionality to the chocobo porters (I believe) in a later patch, might take a while before they implement that though..
