I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks £65 is a joke!
I really want to go to this but there are no specific details as to what exactly i'm paying for if I do. I don't doubt it will be fun, but all they have done is give us vague information about the event and then say you can buy tickets on the 17th July ... so what would I be getting for my £65? I guess i'd have to pay up and find out later? its like paying for a really expensive Kinder suprise! Either way for everyone that does pay for it I really hope the event is freaking epic for that price!

Too short notice to cough up that amount of money without knowing what on earth for. I'm sure I'm not the only player who often works Saturdays and would need to book time off BEFORE buying the ticket? -.-
Aslo: many fan-fest events in London are FREE to go to (Sonic, Red Dwarf etc) so £65 is completely unjust.
Edit: got my code thru about an hour ago. Looked similar to a spam email tho!

Hmmm, why are we already able to insert our promotional code on the website? And on top of that, what happens when you enter it? Is the code one-use only?
Because if it's one-use only, you pretty much have to guess tomorrow when to enter it exactly :s
I think the price is very fair. The cost to transport and fly their employees, plus the cost to have a venue set up and hotel costs add up very quickly. There is limited space for people to attend so the ticket price is also reflected in the total price.
I’m sure a lot of other Fests get their money from vendors setting up shops in the event, and so the costs aren’t passed down to the attendees. This is just a FFXIV Square Event, they won’t have tons of venders helping offset the costs.
BlizzCon is about $200 a ticket (about £116). US Fan Fest tickets are $120 for us (about £70).
The fans that really want to go will pony up the money.
I bought advance tickets in the USA sale, I entered the promo code the first time and had the page time-out on me. I was able to re-enter the same code and it gave me the buy page. Hopefully you guys wont run into the same problems that the USA tickets had.
But you probably entered it right before the sale opening?
We are even able to enter it 1 day in advance :s I'm not sure what will happen if we enter it now.. Maybe some people are even able to get there tickets already?

Firstly, the cost of transport for a handful of people is minimal and when divided over a couple of hundred tickets becomes inconsequential. Secondly, regardless of where they are the cost of having to set a venue up is always going to be an overhead and I'd imagine it would be considerably more expensive for three days in Vegas or wherever the event is in Japan. So, yeah, at the risk of branding you an apologist, the cost to the UK/Euro players of this game for the event is pretty disgusting considering what we actually receive.

Not too bothred by the price was expecting a regular ticket to go for about £80
would be nice to get a little input on this matter
