    Allied Seal Gear Prices

There are some serious problems with the pricing of the stuff on the allied seal vendor.

Five ventures (GC Seal cost: 1000) cost ten allied seals.
One reagan pepper (GC Seal cost: 48,000) costs twenty allied seals.

AF2 armor costs 30/40 seals each (20 for accessories).
Green ilvl 70 GC armor costs 600/1000 seals each.

I get that the grand company gear can be used for glamour, but is it really supposed to cost twenty to twenty-five times as much as AF2? You can outfit three and a half jobs in full AF2 for the price of ilvl 70 boots that may or may not even have a unique skin.

The cost ratio of major:minor armor pieces isn't even consistent.

The two minions are different prices as well, although that may be intentional.

I've been trying to find some more information in regards to this also, the prices appear to be absolutely broken and I really expect these to be updated in the next upcoming maintenance at this stage.

An A rank hunt gives 20 seals provided you get full credit for the kill, are they really expecting people to kill 80 A rank hunts for a single peice of i70 gear when you could have instead purchased full i90 AF 2 sets for over 5 classes! or instead have purchased 2 sands / 3 oils of time?

Being conservative with how I value these items, I would expect the current seal price to be divided by 10. Making them all sit around 80-160 seals only for the fact they are new / have a unique appearance.

there is something seriously wrong with it taking 56 weeks to get a full set of i70 gear, assuming you buy nothing else..

I did all the daily marks today and got 7 seals. thats 49 per week + 20 for the elite, that I didnt catch today. so 69 per week, 3800 needed for a full set for 1 job..

Not to defend their ridiculous pricing, but I think the elite actually gives 20 for the kill and 20 for the bounty. You can get allied seals for the kill any time from any elite mark, but you only get 1 bounty per week (essentially just a bonus for killing that specific one).

The ilvl 70 stuff looks like it's just for glamours, hence the pricing, not for actually being useful. The Serpent DoM items look really awesome!

The pricing is completely insane for the rate of seals you get. It would take a month at 50 seals a day, which is a lot, to get one piece. Nothing else in the game has that kind of time expectation on it.

If my math is right, you'll need 100 GSM Desynth and 1,052 HQ crafter token items to get a single new crafter primary tool. That's 11,579 HQ crafter token items to get all eleven. For reference, you need 50 HQ crafter token items to get the old Artisan tool, and that was considered very grindy and took hours and hours to craft. This is 20x worse. And that's just for one of the components - they also take something no one knows how to get. So, the Allied Seals thing is not the only ridiculous grind for minimal gain introduced in the new patch...

people in my FC have already got over 1k seals as of last night. I managed to get 77 seals the first day while unlocking everything else. 50 seals is 1 S rank hunt.

As for the pricing I believe that the whole purpose of the i70 gear is purely for glamour. Think about it if you can easily get i90 gear do you really need the i70 gear. The pricing reflects this. SE wants people to progress in ilvl so that they can progress in endgame content. By making the i90 gear cheaper (I think it is a little too cheap but whatever) while making the i70 vanity pieces cost more you allow people to upgrade quickly but still give people a grind that isn't needed.

It's a horrible grind the first time around. But I got four artisan specs in about an hour (no fieldcraft III sadly), so i could probably get my tool by the end of the month if I weren't selling all the demimateria I get. Mastercraft demimateria more than likely comes from i90 crafted armor, so have fun with that one. I've desynthed everything else already, so that's the only thing that's left.
