The current implementation is actually better than what they plan on "correcting" it to. Future adjustments will allow the FC to kick you which will auto-vacate your room and you will lose your 300k investment as a result. I can't even fathom out the thought processes behind such a ludicrous decision.

This is easy to work out be on your best behavior and don't join a tard FC. I think those are good rules to maintain and deter tardish behavior.

While you can remain responsible for your own behaviour you can never predict that your FC is going to remain stable. People can leave and new leaders can be appointed, there can be drama over loot calls that lead to kicks, partners of FC leaders/officers who cause untold drama, the list goes on.

It's just another example of S-E's convoluted implementation of something that could have been handled far easier. They could have treated it like buying Cold-Weather Flying in WoW whereby once you've paid the price on that character you're done. If I pay 300k to unlock personal housing in my FC property I should have the ability to have a house in any future FC as long as they have a residence. Instead, we dump 300k into something we'll lose if we ever leave, or are removed, from our FC. Hell, if they stick to their equally nonsensical implementation of FC housing, if no one logs in for a while the FC loses its land and housing and a bunch of people are all 300k out of pocket. And, yeah, while I acknowledge they're reviewing that the mere fact they initially thought it was acceptable doesn't give me much hope that their revised plans will be much better.

I think people are starting to realize it's important you know your FC and their leaders. Which is entirely why I started my own with people I know. So here I am checking over the Private rooms and permissions but from my findings it's purely cosmetic you might as well be contempt with the FC house in general a fat lot of good private chambers do if you can't actually use it to remain within your FC house when you log out instead of rudely appearing at the front door step outside the house when you log in again. I think it's a safety measure for SE in case the house is vacated for in active use etc....

1. SE lets anyone have a personal mog house like they have done successfully in other games
2. Players are then free to join, leave, stay, or never look at FC's as they please.
3. Leadership doesn't have to beg a GM to remove a problematic member because SE believed that the only way to protect members from losing their 300k was by locking leaders out of control over their company group.

Those sound about right and I can't imagine how SE can believe otherwise, even given JP culture.

Keep in mind that this is just private chambers of FC house, personal housing is still coming later on.

Coming with 2.4 (maybe earlier, maybe later). Save up around 1m gil to buy one when the time come (better a bit more)

People shouldnt restrict this.

It's absolutely ludicrous that people arent allowed to buy a room because their FC wants to keep the right to kick them. Lets think of it this way, if people are going to be jerks that do not like their FC, they wouldnt put in 300k + furniture for a room either. And if it becomes a hostile situation between them and their FC, they're going to leave of their own accord regardless.

Seriously, outside of that everyone agrees that you should leave your FC and join another one (no one has these restrictions, and there are so many good ones out there that are fun and not governed by dictators), if you really dont want to switch, you should just buy a room regardless.

As leader of our FC i actually encourage players if they want a personal room they can do so.
Sounds like you just have a bad leader, of which does not seem to care about other players

Many of the points made in this thread just adds to the reason I'm going to pass on the Personal Chambers and wait on actual Personal Housing, which was promised to us. I can use the 300k I would waste on this and spend it on my Personal House, while not having to go through possible unnecessary grief.
