    Greetings everyone,

I've seen a few people post the news, but I'll quote it here to make it more visible as well. We're definitely aware of the frustration that this is causing everyone and this is one of the dev. team's highest priority items to address.

Here are the dev. team's current plans to address the Frontline matchmaking issue that players have been experiencing:

We are therefore planning to implement the following measures in order to address this issue.

    [Measure 1]
In this measure, all players who choose “Commence” will be sent to the Frontline once matchmaking is complete, regardless of whether some have chosen “Abandon” at the last second or selected no option at all. This measure is scheduled to be introduced this week on July 11, 2014.

This may result in some teams starting the duty with an insufficient number of players. If this should happen, we ask that party leaders use the “Add Member” option to fill out their party’s numbers. Additionally, when registering for a Frontline campaign we recommend checking “Join Party in Progress,” which will make the matchmaking process smoother, and ask players to consider choosing this option whenever possible.

    [Measure 2]
To address parties starting the duty with insufficient numbers, we are planning the addition of a feature which automatically adds members if required once duty has commenced. This countermeasure is planned for Frontline campaigns only and is scheduled for implementation sometime next week.

We will provide further details concerning both measures once they have been fully implemented, and ask for your patience until updated information can be provided.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

That's great Bayohne, could "Join Party in Progress" be checked by default? At least in the Frontline queues. Generally I forgot to mark that option, and I suppose I'm not the only one. Or have an option to check that option as default, or make the client remember when you checked it.

    From the Patch Notes:

Changes to the Join Party in Progress and Language settings in the Duty Finder interface will now be saved.

Maybe some content shouldn't have that as an option at all. I still don't understand how anyone believes this is a good design for a random dungeon matchmaking system. If you want a fresh run, queue a specific dungeon. Otherwise the tool should filter people into dungeons as spots need to be filled.

Why not just have everyone put into a lobby (the arena) and start the 2minute timer once all teams fill? It stops the game actually starting while one team has insufficient numbers.

Or, penalise people who hit withdraw several times in a row. Yes, some people will have a genuine reason to withdraw. Perhaps they just spilled their favourite sugar filled energy drink all over their keyboards and need to clean it, but someone withdrawing several times in a row (at least 2 or 3 times) can be seen to be a bit more of an attempt at annoyance rather than having to genuinely afk.
