The following issue has been confirmed on the PlayStation®3 version of the Patch 2.3 system Item Desynthesis.

[Current Known Issue]
Executing an Item Desynthesis action from the Item Desynthesis window will not properly desynthesize the item and freeze the client.

[Work Around]
When using Item Desynthesis, using Item Desynthesis from the item subcommand instead of the Item Desynthesis window will allow the item to be desynthesized properly and avoid this issue.

We plan on addressing the issue soon, but until this issue has been addressed we ask that you please use the above work around method to use Item Desynthesis.
