Okay so earlier there was a thread about Urth (and Odin) but I want to know more about Odin himself and what happens to those that faced him. We know he takes the form (though the height would be the most visible variable unless you were lucky enough to get a peek of him without his helmet) But what does this mean for those who appearance he takes and what impact would this have in the lore? Does he make him his Einherjar? Merge their soul with him (As the PCs are untemperable because of the Echo)? or simply glamors himself in their form to honor them and grant them a bit of his power? (dialogue from if you beat him implies the middle) and would Odin become a factor in new stories? (They can't keep Coil going forever, thought What happened to Bahamut afterwards is another story)

Also would any storyline with Odin parallel Norse Mythology?

Basically I threw in some things that would "fit" into his "storyline" here, and that also parallel with the actual Odin Norse mythology.

Ah yes the Fenrir. Nice choice.

Still wondering if there will be a sidestory involving him. Him becoming the player (or vise versa), Urth, Thor, Loki (Can't have the All-father without his sons, except when you can) and/or looking into the Allagan empire (with Gungnir or Shin Zantesuken as a quest reward).

Yeah, I read that. Didn't really enjoy the adding in of Loki and Thor. Sounds too Marvel to me. Odin in FF games has never had sons. It should be kept that way. He's too much of a badass himself.

If anything, I'd like to see a harder instance where he finally finds Urth and some shit goes down to where he upgrades to Raiden (Odin EX).

This is more for adherence to the source myths

Even though there is tonal dissonance between their stories, there's precedence for Greg and Odin to have some interaction...
