    Combos

    This is more directed at Mage classes but could be done the same for melee.

    I would like to see more combo variations for mages.

    Examples: Thundara > Blizzara. Combo bonus AoE stun.

    Flare > Freeze. Combo bonus 30% more damage to Freeze. I feel this should be a high risk/high reward combo cause the mage has to be in close for a while to pull this off w/o dying.

    Thunder > Blizzard > Fire. Combo bonus for Blizzard increased damage but no weight effect. Combo bonus for fire convert spell into single target/ Bonus damage.

    (new)Blizzard > Fira > Firaga. Combo bonus converts both spells to single target, increased damage.

    Now for the melee i have a idea.

    For monk example: Aura Pulse > Howling fist. Combo bonus, makes howling fist frontal Cone attack.

    We just need more variation so it's not so limited and linear.

    And mage spells need another overall IMO. Having thunder being the main damage dealer and only single target is just... dumb. Why couldn't we just have balanced spells that do less damage the more enemies it hits? I honestly don't care if mages would get more abilities or actions compared to melees, it just doesn't seem right right now and I get bored playing a caster >.>

    They could do more things to make spells single target like Thunder > Fira > Firaga Both of the combo bonuses would make the fire spells single target.

    Every classes skills are linear.

    I agree, they should mix it up so that the chains can be used in several different configurations.

    Right now: (Chained only)

    1) Heavy Swing (No effect)
    2) Skull Sunder (increased Enmity)
    3) Steel Cyclone (increased Critical Hit)

    I would like to see:

    1) Any Skill (No effect)
    2) Any Skill (increases Enmity)
    3) Any Skill (Increased Critical Hit)

    Let ME pick the order and chains plox!

    Heck, the whole party should be involved, and lets keep it generic like: magic>magic>ws and the bonus can be something like increased damage. that would be cool.

    Wonder if a Dev rep could tell us if they have any plans to make more combos for blm. Being able to convert Aoe spells to single target could make the class much much more fun.

    I hope they do have plans for this sort of thing. I find Dragoon far more enjoyable because of the variety of combos and their mobility on the battlefield. Versus Black Mage where it's stand still try to regen Mp and use the same chain over and over again.

    I would say that what's being recommended will be skillchains aka the battle regimen concept. A player by themselves may not be able to combo Thundara and Blizzara to create the AOE stun effect but two THM/BLM could Battle Regimen to create the AOE stun combo.

    I like mine Water > Thunder > Fire idea
    But now I kinda like current system too. it's easy...

    in the meanwhile, ppl also <3 my earth > wind > fire combo too
