Potency increase for BLM makes BLM way too powerful

I COMPLETELY disagree. I worked my butt off to lvl up BLM as it is my main, I have an animus and ilvl 96 so far. And what happened when coil T6+ was released? Suddenly no one wanted BLM as much in their groups. Why is that? Because unlike ALL of the other dps classes, we're the most immobile class. So I WELCOME this Single Target buff.

Black Mage is not immobile, we just sucked. We have enough abilities to negate most mechanics that force us to move. The simple fact of the matter is BLM single target was just bad, even when in perfect turret-dps scenarios.

We simply needed a bit more single target dps to make it a more worthwhile addition to a serious raid group, I expect we'll still be less in demand than SMN, but hopefully there wont be as much stigma about BLM coil2 dps.

Anyways, you are right. In fact I think playing BLM is like playing a MNK. Good MNKs/BLMs are hard to come by. I've seen BLMs dealing 388DPS on T8 (yeah okay, they have double flare when DN appears but it is still a largely single target fight and they have their own duties) so when played properly they aren't that bad. SMNs and BRDs are indeed more popular but that at the same time makes more amount of bad SMNs/BRDs that deals shitty dmg because they played that job just because it is more popular.

BLM around BRD who sings his songs? If BLM and BRD are same, BLM is doing not the best job. I have yet to see a BRD who does around the same DMG I do as BLM. Not that I do exceptional damage or something lol. But Bard's singing costs more DPS than me moving around only able to use Scythe.

And if a BRD doesn't use FOE when he doesn't need to sing, then kick him and get a decent one ? FOE = more DPS for the BLM.
And let's be serious 5 seconds, even when I need to sing, I don't even sing for more than half of the fight (mana issues), the DPS loss is marginal.

Foe also != less DPS for the Bard, so he probably meant Bards don't really sing songs that lower their DPS since that's the subject we're on right now.

And ? Did I say the opposite ? I just said that a BRD that doesn't use FOE (in serious fights, I won't bother to use FOE when the DPs isn't an issue) needs to be kicked. And when he uses FOE, instead of having less DPS, the BLM gets more, the difference is minimal.

You should be kicked for not singing Foe's in any fight that you don't need Ballad or Paeon. You're not making the absolute most of your class if you're not doing everything possible.
