So I guess Gold Saucer is for 2.4?
Eh?

It does say info out dated..but to be fair, they did at one point say 2.3 lol.Patch 2.3 is the target release for the Golden Saucer! The reason they haven’t revealed much about it is because they are currently busy working on it. They are hoping to have at least 3 mini games available before they release it into the game. Yoshida says perhaps a card game, a mini game, or a snowboarding game. I’d love to snowboard down Coerthas with my Lalafell!
Oh sure, but that was like a year ago :S Anyone who's been keeping an eye on Producer Letters and Live Q&A would know that SE has had to push back plans by a few patches for quite some time now. Perhaps the other poster hasn't been reading, idk.
And they've just started to mention it in a bit more detail (see comments related to choco raising).. I think I'd be surprised to see it in 2.4, but then again they've done pretty good at surprising us with each big update so far so guess we'll see. ^^

Immediately reminded me of this:

I'm weird.
I'm thinking it will be pushed back to the first expansion, but hell I'd welcome the Gold Saucer and/or Chocobo Racing/Raising in 2.4. This game has so much content now, it baffles me how people log on and say "I'm bored"... I play for a few hours pretty much every day and can never seem to have enough time to do all the things I'd like to do.
Yup, just like you, these are my thoughts as well. Would be a super punch announcement to get back old players and attrack new ones - welcome to marketing department.. sigh
I'm meh for patch 2.3, I will suck it up to 2.4 for NIN and then I will wait for that Expansion, to see where the game goes.
I am of those type who love to lvl up their characters from lvl 1 to max. Once I reach that top, I am waiting for the game to have the lvl cap raised so I can enjoy it again.
For me, doing the same dungeons and trials over and over to get gear, isn't what I am looking for to enjoy my time.
I love the animations in MMOs, specially the spellcaster ones.
So yes, like you I play about 3 hours per night, sometimes skipping a day, and I still get to the same old: Duty roulette, Retainers, Beast Tribes (even if they are maxed I still do them for my challenge log bonus and 4k gil per day, and 6 ventures, plus about 40 myth)
So after that, I am free to help those in need, like relic quests, doing a low-lvl dungeon to help those that need XP and are tired of FATES (did I said FATES?)
F inal
A ttempt
T o
E xile
the playerbase.
Let's hope that the future will be brighter, as for me this game is nice, up to that point. ( I still have to beat all EM primals and Coil T5-9, but that's why I take my time: else I would be bored to the max.)

Suggestion for QoL: please SE, make our retainers, no matter if you have 2-3-4, to sort item through all of them, once you click the 'sort' !! Thank you for saving us some precious hours of sanity..

So in the letter, it says that we will get Allied Marks from Elite Hunts, as well as from killing the ACTUAL Elite Marks...
So he's basically saying that if we choose to, we can farm/grind out Allied Marks, and use them to buy Sands/Oils/Unidentified to our heart's, and schedule's content?
