Indeed. Though my reaction would be to sheath my weapon, not DPS, and /sit.
Kinda like how I don't bother with positioning when dealing with tanks who spin the mob all over the place; and, don't bother with sleeping after the second or third time someone decides to wake up all the mobs in a pull.
