We have Coil gear and relic grind. Getting gear this way should be good news for everyone as more options is always good for the game no matter what. And nobody HAS to sit in a bush camping for a NM or you're doing it wrong.

Just join a fight if you happen to see one and enjoy it! Don't do stuff you don't feel like doing. If you want a more predictable way of playing there's absolutely no shortage of that in this game for you.
There really is only positive sides in this for everyone =)
