    Potent Paralyzing Potions

I'm currently going through endgame and making a log of what potions have an effect on enemies from primals to alexandrite monsters. I don't believe these items were added for no reason and over looking them serves no purpose.

    HOWEVER

I have found nearly no effective use for paralyzing potions. This is troubling since this isn't a status effect we can cast normally but we get clobbered by every time. I was hoping that someone else may have found a use for the Paralyzing potion (I certainly have not) and I've ticked off a LOT of people in certain instances by trying it. Also as a note:

A powerful concoction which induces profuse internal bleeding. Effective on most targets up to level 50.

How could you NOT use that on titan. I mean... come on. He's a giant rock. Lets say "Screw you" logic and experiment more. Where is your sense of wonder?

You can poison Titan with the "Poison Potions" I believe.

Standard RPG trope I'm afraid: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...essUsefulSpell (although in this case it's an item and not a spell, but the result is the same).

Yeah they're worthless. A shame because it could be a nice new tactic to add to battle if we could use potions on enemies that aren't useless open world mobs. Ah well...

There is a big difference, though : this trope appeared first because in old RPG, developers were "discovering" how to design a RPG, thus making a lot of spells and effects with little to no use.
Here, the donjons and boss battles are over-meticulously designed, and the uselessness of these potion is a direct consequence of this design, because the only other possibility is they would be too powerful. The design of FFXIV has no place for middle-ground.

These potions are simply, like elemental resistances or stat allocation, a remnant of a time when FFXIV tried to be a RPG.
