returning player....about free company

I joined this game at the first time when it's out. After a few weeks i cancelled my subscription until now. Before I quitt this game I joined a free company but now I realized the 'free company' button (under social) is gray. When I clicked it, it says this command is not available. So what is this issue? Did this game cancelled this function (although I don't think it's possible)?

I imagine you got kicked out of your free company for being absent, or the free company disbanded.

maybe you are correct. But I think when you try to search for free companies which are recruiting, you also use that button?

No. The only recruitment being done tends to happen in shouts. Some use the Party Finder for that as well.

You can access a free company description when you examine somebody. Then you will have the recruitment status if they updated it and the option to send an application.
