I've always loved world events. And with Patch 1.18 I got a few. Just north of Camp Horizen we've got Imperial Garleans attacking, and east of Camp Tranquil we have more Garleans attacking.

I joined my first Ul'dah world event and simply loved it. Although I am only R34, and haven't finished the story, I had no idea the Garlean have already made it to Ul'dah. In the story they have only started attacking Gridania. Any word on an event in Limsa?

I hope they have more, and more intense events just like this. Such as attacks on the city states and people within the regions must come help defend (I know it sounds like Rift sorry) but these are the types of events that players love. Who doesn't like defending their home state?

Good job SE for bringing more interest to the game. 1.18 in my mind was a step in the right direction.

When you say they've come to Ul'dah and are attacking Gridania, do you mean they are actually inside the cities, or just in the surrounding zones? The former would be MUCH cooler.

No the events as I said take place North of Horizen and East of Tranquil.

Yea a NPC in town tells about this stuff. I know the one for Ul'dah is right out front of where you get levis. I went and looked for Garleans after reading his message but I didn't find anything. Is this just in game lore or can you actually take part in these fight?

These events really do sound like a great build up to the future of eorzea.. i really hope they use this to their advantage and gradually add more and more interesting lore based game components to build up the excitement for the future of the game.

Its very reminicent of what blizzard did with the build up to WOTLK release with the Lich Kings minions attacking the major cities and other various events around the game world regarding the plague infection, i thought it was a fantastic build up, even though it served no purpose other than to build up the hype of the next expansion.

I really do hope square realise how much of a great idea this is and expand upon it alot, building up the inevitable Garlean Invasion, I'm hoping to see their infamous airships in the skies above Ul'dah, Garlean Warmachines rolling through the forests of Gridania, and imperial warships off the coast of La Noscea, preparing for the inevitable bloody battle with Grand Companies of Eorzea.
