I recently came back from a two month hiatus. This hiatus was brought on by the Atma quest and the way it is handled. I have had a great time banging my head against Titan Hm, Coil and then Titan Ex. I really did. It was truly satisfying to overcome those challenges and do them before the Echo was implemented to them.

However this whole Atma quest has left a terrible taste in my mouth after a week of being back, nothing has changed. Before I left, I tried for a 1 ½ weeks to get one, farming 5 hours a day and nothing dropped. I have all of the prerequisites to trigger a drop, however my progress has halted.

this week, I have spent my time trying to get one and nothing has dropped. I am even going by the “Japanese Atma farm Theory” or whatever it is and it isn’t working.
That bad taste has come back and I feel like I am being punished. I am at a wall that I cannot scale and I am done. My view of this game has soured and I doubt I am going to come back.

Try this:
Step 1: Ignore Atma
Step 2: Do the things that you enjoyed when you last played. There's an entire new coil you haven't done, if Titan Ex was the last thing you did.

Yeah just ignore the atma quest or give it a try once per week there is a lot of new content that you can try. The game is great and the community too (mostly) I know that quest is a headache I also thought about quitting when I started that quest but we have more things to do.

Dude, chill. IIRC, they said they'd be raising the Atma drop rates "sometime" between Patch 2.3 and 2.4

Find other stuff to do. You don't need an Atma weapon or Zodiac weapon right now.

Exactly. So tired of this "I NEED IT NOW" mentality. Join some Hunts. They're a HELL of a lot more fun than atma grinding and a lot more rewarding (sands/oils).
