From a technical/artistic standpoint, the fact that it's all back-swept (like miqo'te ears) and covers the ears already on a human head would actually make it really, really easy to work with. Well, other than the slight geometry/texture tweaking needed to blend the ears -- in this case, making it look like they're poking out from between the locks.

We don't know yet how many races can get them yet :P, like when all females could change their hair to the Hyur pigtails. They might make them available to more races.

Personally, I think the dreads look like Kerrigan's hairstyle from HoTS. Cat ears would ruin the Queen of Blades look XD.

Well, should that hairstyle go to non-cats, you won't have to worry about that.
