    Alternate Paypal Options

    So, as people might have noticed via the launcher, Visa bought Playspan which in turn owned Ultimate Game Card. Since Playspan was taken over by Visa, they're shutting UGC down which means that our current Paypal option for payments seems to be going away.

    Anyone have alternatives to pay via Paypal in mind?

    Amazon doesn't take Paypal as a billing option. This also pushes subscription rates up from the 6-month I'm currently paying.

    No, I have not noticed this. Last I was aware, Ultimate Pay or whatever cards were actually the ones going away, and the paypal option would still be around after they were gone. I'll need a quote from you to verify that this was actually stated by SE.

    Ultimate Pay is not going away only UGC/Ultimate Points are, Paypal can still be used for the forseeable future. as well as most of the other payment options for your region. Playspan(Visa) have confirmed they are not shutting down Ultimate Pay and that they want to work directly with their merchant's currency.

    Fair enough, I suppose. This whole thing is confusing as to who does what. What'd be nice is if SE would handle Paypal directly.

    Wait, so I will still be able to use Paypal to pay for my Monthly Subscription? So my buying a Moneycard from Walmart wasn't necessary then?

    I pay with my Visa Debit. It;s a credit card which draws money out of your account, but counts as a Visa for online purchases only. Works for me.
