I have a theory... did you guys skip any chests on your way to the boss?
Im wondering if leaving chests closed during the run makes them pop at the end
Just a hypothesis though.
Haha funny u said that, i was thinking something along that line too, out of 5x 100% possible chest, i think we missed 1. Did you guys get all 5?
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
well 1.18 was only the first of the battle changes so were gonna see more changes next patch
Yeah on our kill we picked up every chest because one or two of us still needed something.
I don't think we need chest 1 or 3 anymore so we can try skipping them.
Yup it seems a single item or mayb single slot set drop from a chest, also the common Dark Matter. Been getting Warlock's Pattens(6 total i think) from the first chest(someone also mentioned Bladedancer's Boots but i havn't seen it with my own eyes).
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
Nothing better than killing Batraal and getting 3 Grade 5 dark matters.
Congrats all on the kill! Very cool looking encounter.
I will say... A dungeon to be cleared and beaten 3 days after it was implemented seems... I dunno... awful quick to me for supposed "end game content". So, now more people figure out the strategy, and it goes on farm status... everyone gets their gear and then waits around for... who knows how long... 'til the next dungeon is implemented.
Now, before someone goes all extremist on me and says "so you want them to take years like AV in FFXI?" No. I'm not saying that. However, for an entire dungeon that likely took SE months to design, produce, script, test and such to take barely a weekend for players to complete seems like it could lead to some serious issues down the road with gaps in end-game content, especially since they basically let you repeat them, what, 5 or 10 minutes after your previous run?
I mean, how many times can people run the same dungeon before they're completely sick of it?
Perhaps they have plans for some more epic dungeons to supplement these shorter ones that will be far larger, far more difficult and take longer to complete. Perhaps they'll go with the "multiple wing" concept a lot of raid content has these days, so there's multiple paths/routes to take through and you're not fighting all the same stuff each time. They did say that there would be content intended for short-term, more casual play as well as more difficult and involved content for larger groups...
Will be interesting to see how it pans out.
unfortunately people don't have the smarts to even move outta tiny conal aoe's atm... it's so laughably easy too but every1 acts like they're glued to the floor o.O Has nothing really to do with balance, it's people being stubborn, stupid, and lazy lol Complain if you will but putting everyone as range will only make their sticky feet alot worse. Sorry for the cliche but people need to L2P ... it's as simple as that >.<

~Rationality falls quite short for those living in their own world~
"See the world for what it is, not for what you want it to be!"
The bladedancer boots come from the 2nd chest. I'm not sure if you're including the ogre's chest--there's at least 6 available prior to Batraal if you do.
Hey!! dont you know it is hard!! it needs to be nerfed!! My CON always die!!Congrats all on the kill! Very cool looking encounter.
