Local Leves for Culinarian

Personally I like to travel around to all 3 cities and do my leves. All of them have their benefit except for some reason doing culinarian in any city except Limsa. It seems to me that almost all the recipies used for local leves require guild facilities. I am not going to grab culinarian leves in Uldah or Gridania just to have to teleport back to Limsa in order to get guild facilities in order to do the leve. If they would just reduce the requirement to common facilities it would make things a lot easier. There is no point in a leve requiring guild facilities if the guild is not located there. To me it seems like the local leves for this class has been designed to annoy the players. Culinarian is already a difficult craft and this does not make things easier.

I beg to differ, there is Useful Leves, SP and reward wise in all three cities, and for any craft TBH.

What i usually do if grab leves in the two cities that doesn't have the guild I need. Then head to the 3rd city, pop the Guild Mastery and do them all (Guild Support seems affects your overall success rate). This is working even better when you're doing skillups and don't care much about rewards.

I uselly just stick to limsa for all my locals, they give the best rewards, and normally have enough at my rank to do all 8 there. if i dont i normally just pick up any in uldah that give apples... i guess it could depend on your rank

Don't forget to get the books aswell, I was always getting Finger Food in Ul'dah, the recipe was a couple of levels above me when I first got it, with guild support it would fail and even a few levels after 21 I was still failing more than not, then I got Breadmaking, I could do the leve in Ul'dah with basic support and never looked back.

Ill start out in LL because LL has been consistently giving me 4-5 leves at the counter per set and 4/5 would be worth doing. Uldah might have 2/4 leves 10 or more ranks below me as well as Gridania. But dont neglect the other two cities. SP is SP

You dont necessarily use the facility as a boost to success, facilities remove the restrictions certain recipes have. Just like if it tells you that you need fishcleaning, or confectionary, etc etc. If you dont have those, you have to battle your success rate with those restrictions. The leve will tell you what facility is required before you actually pull your tool out and I have yet to get a leve that tells me I need Masters so I dont use it.

I use the same method. I usually grab the leves in Gridania (since that's my main city), then port to Ul'dah and grab the leves there. Then I run to the dock, hop on the ship, and sail to LL. Once there, I grab the LL leves, do the entire batch of culinary leves, and then return to Gridania. For a round trip it's only 4 anima, which isn't too bad, and the guild facilities seem make all the cooking leves easier whether they recommend it or not.

Personally, I don't even go to Uldah for cul leves. LL and Gridania are far better for them, especially at 40+, because the only Uldah leve 40+ is Finger Food, making Deviled Eggs, which I guess you could do if you really wanted to, but I don't find it worth my time to go there and do it. I can usually get 6/7 Cul leves per reset between LL and Grid, then just use the remainder on my other crafts.
