The same can be said for the level 50 equivalents for Pugilist, and 30/50 of Thaumaturge. So I guess there is some wiggle room (like with your GLA example).

Pretty sure you can build them up for each place right now. But I'd suggest not getting the Pugilist weapons if you have something better already. Have to look into Lancer and see if it's worth your while xD

I was just comparing the r50 stuff in each nation vs the normal stuff you would use (crafted) at r50 on that class.

I think when it comes to the r30 stuff, it varies depending on the item and the player's personal preference (which stats they care more for). ^_^

I really hope they add a feature similar to FFXI conquest, wherein you may purchase items from another city's faction at an increased price and under certain conditions.

My two greatest fears at the moment are that if I align with a company now for a specific weapon type, that a few months later a different company will get a much better one available in a patch. My other fear is that, as it stands now, all my friends are devided on which company to join. No one wants to alienate the other by having them join without awards for their choice class. Yet, it would be sad, if we weren't all joined on the same allegiance and unable to enjoy the quests and story together.

I hope we hear something regarding this soon, as I'm a little too apprehensive to make a decision at the moment. ('~')

I hope so too, locking different class equipment to different companies is pretty rediculous, given that you can level every class in the game. I hope they do allow you to purchase other companies items at an increased cost...

I'm at the same junction right now. I chose to start the game in Gridania because I like the atmosphere there, and the story line. I am playing a Lancer at the moment though; so I'm hesitant to pledge to the twin adders due to the gear offerings. Really hope square steps in and clears this up soon.

Yep, I kinda miss that too. My home is Gridania and I chose the Twin Adders as well, since I'm a Gridania/Windurstian-Fanboy =P but my current class is Archer at the moment.. and those R50 bows are in Uldah.. feel a little bit shifted since the Archers Guild is in Gridania as well X.x

I could live with a certain exchange ratio maybe. Something along 1:1.5 or maybe even 1:2.
But we'll have to wait until Yoshi's revealing any new infos.

My husband and I duo together and I was afraid maybe we would be split on which companies we wanted to join. What a coincidence that CON and PUG are within the same company, as that is our main classes! Looks like we'll be going Twin Adder.

Was just looking around and either I goofed or they switched it but THM is Maelstrom now so edited it to reflect this. I hope no one was affected by this ^^;.

I agree, I hope they have it like XI but we'll just have to wait and see. Also hope that they'll let you switch like in XI if you ever feel like it later on.

In contrast, I am a MRD (when I fight) and I LOVE Grid and plan to join Grid regardless as it's my home town. I'd hate to think I'm being penalized for this by not then having access to unique Marauder items...
