Make own parties with retainers

So are these 'generic' retainers out and about that represent our venturing staff or do they actually look like our retainers do? Do they have names on them? It would be awesome to find my own retainers, we can hang out. xDD

It will be nice to see some wandering around the open world. Even better, wandering around the housing wards! Mind you, I'll be checking for missing FC items... but still cool. ^^

YES! or even better, a primal fight! you are there checking if everyone is ready and knows what to do and then a retainer appears, insta-kills it and takes the loot xD

And then you find out your retainer is part of a new empire and takes all your savings and stuff for his/her true master

After patch 2.3 we made it possible to see them gathering in the field, so next time you’re gathering, the person next to you might just be someone’s retainer!

When I was going out to Whitebrim once i saw a MRD retainer walking along the path Was wondering when you guys did that.

I'm a total sucker for these dynamic changes to the game world, especially in MMOs where you least expect them.

I also noticed Minfilia's private military of ULTRAMARINE WARRIORS standing around serving and protecting Eorzea on streetcorners after you finish the MSQ. Love it!

Is this only for Gathering class retainers, or will we be able to see battle classes duking it out with their targets? :3

If so, I will have a talk with her and ask right away to stop killing Coeurls so she can give me their hearts as a token of her love at ilvl80. It's getting ridiculously old.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure they thought of putting like the newcomers, a nice icon that will show they are not Botters lol

So here's a question, are they just randomly generated NPCs, or actual legit retainers?

I mean, it's definitely awesome either way, but I'd love to see specific retainers in their gear designated by players.

Wow, I haven't noticed these retainers, but it's very possible that I just thought they were a regular PC. I need to pay attention the next time I'm out gathering.

Yes, this! I want a grumpy companion telling me my rotation is all wrong, I need to get better gear, & saying he's seen dps from a Lalafell dragoon spamming leg sweep.
