Actually, all the 110 gear (minus Novus) is able to be equipped by a class.

I did sort of address that in the quote, but it doesn't solve the weapon issue unless you also happen to have one of the rather expensive or hard to obtain i100+ weapons.

Of course, if you're geared to the nines anyway then going as a class is undermining all of that progress simply for the sake of it.

Am thinking to try using a class when I am not in party content, such as soloing fates. Just need gear that isn't job specific, meaning no relic weapon. Could be fun to go back to having a wider range of borrowed skills.

Had two attempted Bray Normal runs last night with a MRD tank. Neither run was a win. I was polite and made a suggestion to both MRDs to prioritize unlocking WAR. Hopefully they both took my advice to heart.

Strategy is one thing, but your character stats are another. Kicking a person from a DF group for being a Class is like kicking a MNK or DRG because you want BRD only, or kicking a WAR because you wanted PLD, or kicking an i70 from CT because you only accept i85+ in your DF parties. That's abuse. That has nothing to do with strategy. A strategy is something that can be changed to fit the playstyle of the party as a whole, but your choice of class or job once in an instance can't be changed.

Ultimately, it's up to the particular GM that takes the call to make that distinction. I hope they all can figure it out the difference because it would be incredibly stupid for SE to allow a player to queue as a Class and then also allow them to be kicked/excluded for queuing as a Class.

No, kicking someone for choosing to gimp the group has nothing to do with kicking a job for another.

If you join as a class, especially at level 50, then you're clearly trolling and are subject to being kicked for harassment.

It's perfectly viable to do some non-trivial content with classes already, it's just a lot harder and you need to be geared for a much higher ilvl than the equivalent job would need. That's the real issue here. The problem then is that when they add tougher content, the gap widens and you'll need yet more powerful gear to compete. They will never be on-par.

i had bray normal runs with gld's and cnj's and it never goes well
